I friend of mine in Augusta posted this on her FaceBook. Her wedding in the 1960's at Sacred Heart Church, Augusta, Georgia, now Sacred Heart Cultural Center. The altar railing appears to be the exact style as St. Joseph's in Macon!

The candelabras - that just looks awesome. Love the pulpit w/shell. Compare/contrast with the photos posted farther below with sanctuaries loaded with clutter that doesn't need to be there. Compared to this, the holy sacrifice appears to have devolved into some basic, pedestrian affair that's overly casual.
The photo indicates this was before the “reforms” since there is no secondary altar. A very beautiful church!
I attended Sunday Mass there a few times as a child in the early and mid 60’s. A fascinating feature was they did not have bells for the Mass, but if you look to the right of the last step to the altar, you will see what looks like a box. That box had three or more button, that provided tonesrung throughout the church for the elevations on successive tone, kind of like an electronic xylophone.

My parish Church had one of those, installed during a renovation in the mid 1950s.
