YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS STUFF UP: AS FATE WOULD HAVE IT!

On our St. Anne Catholic Church Facebook page way back on June 22nd, we posted this invitation to our parishioners:

On Sunday, July 18, Fr. Allan will celebrate the 1pm Latin Mass at the Cathedral Basilica in Savannah. Bring the family for Mass and stay for a picnic in Lafayette Square.

First time? We are excited to have you! Resources on the Traditional Latin Mass can be found online at www.stannerh.org/latin-mass and on the narthex bulletin board.

I guess we will be celebrating:

This doesn’t sound seditious enough. You should avoid the comic sans font and go for a stencil or paint can scrawl appearance. Write “TLM” on the back of the flier to ride the coattails of another movement. Then leave them in coffee shops and universities.

Ignore the black helicopters and vans with recording gear. They mean nothing.

The mass from the Cathedral is broadcast live. Vans with "recording gear" are redundant.

As you well know, my fellow revolutionary, the Mass broadcast does not concentrate on those who attend where NAMES can be determined, but NAMES seems to be a concept which habitually eludes you, making you one of our top agents.

The Cathedral-Basilica cams do ineeed show who is in attendance. Maybe you should watch a Mass from there one time before making any more uninformed comments.

Maybe, Tovarich, you should try to identify ALL visitors from those camera shots and then get back with me. We thought you were better than this. You certainly think so. I was so proud you used my name, but now am not so sure. Never fear, we can always still make use of useful fools.

You are the one interested in naming all those who attend the EF Mass at Savannah's cathedral-basilica, not me. So, have at it.
