Every Third Sunday of the Month
Bishop Declan wishes to express pastoral care and concern for our Catholic LGBT+ community and so has asked St Nicholas of Tolentino Church to celebrate a series of Masses for this community and their friends and family and all who wish to take part.
The intention is not to isolate , but rather to ensure a warm welcome and to integrate this community into Church.
I am please to inform all that the Parish Pastoral Council has decided resume these Masses from Sunday 16th August 2020 at 3.00pm. Safe distancing, extra hygiene measures, face masks and track and trace procedures will be in place to enable this Mass to resume. Thank you for your support and co-operation.

In this case, and also for Archbishop Gregory, the bishops going to sound the call for the people loyal to them. If they have antipathy for, or sense any from, TLM groups then they will suppress the trads and open the doors for whoever they believe supports them.
All are welcome other than faithful, believing Catholics!!!
Declan Lang (Bishop of Clifton since 2001) was quick to order a community in his diocese to stop offering the traditional Mass, the only English bishop so far to have done so.
He has form, and unfortunately he doesn't turn 75 for another four years, so the poor Catholics of Bristol are stuck with him.

Something quite similar here in our state (NSW, Australia) with the Bishop of the Parramatta diocese.
Though, thanks be to God! - Anthony Fisher replaced George Pell as Archbishop of Sydney. The FSSP has been made welcome in his archdiocese.

A couple of years ago Archbishop Fisher visited Oxford (he has a D.Phil. from University College) and celebrated Solemn Latin Mass at the Oratory. He is a good example of the younger generation of bishops, orthodox and unencumbered with the liberal baggage of the previous generation.
At the end of Mass he said that if anyone thought his Latin was idiosyncratic, it was because he was using the Australian pronunciation!
Father Hunwicke reports the broadcast mass had numerous rubrical abuses, including a made up creed. Since the Pope has denounced improper novus ordo celebrations in Traditionis Custos, shouldn't the book be thrown at them? Shame on this bishop. A truly pastoral response for those with this condition would be the call to chastity. Charles G

Archbishop Fisher is about the same age as my husband. His first degree, before a law degree, was a first class honours degree in history. Interestingly, Archbishop Fisher was a VERY successful young lawyer in Sydney before entering a seminary and studying theology.
I heard he also earned a PhD in bioethics; I did not know it was an Oxford D.Phil.
Sydney can be a very strange place. A very large port city; a sort of down under San Francisco in some ways - yet the Anglican hierarchy and leaders too are either praised or denounced for their staunch conservative theological stances.
As I have mentioned, I was raised as an Anglican - Church of England - before becoming a Catholic at 25...
They do the same thing in the "Dioceses" of Lexington KY.
