MACON'S SUNDAY CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL: I FELT JUST LIKE THE POPE!

On Sunday March 17, what in some places was Saint Patrick's Day, was Cherry Blossom Sunday and once again Saint Joseph Church hosted the opening religious service for the Festival at our normal 12:10 PM Mass!

Fr. Dawid and I were once again in the parade that followed the Mass and tens of thousands of people lined the downtown streets of Macon to see Fr. Dawid and me and well, the rest of the parade. Enjoy these photos by Dr. Buck Melton!

I bet lots of people are interested in St Francis now. These pastoral celebrations could present an opportunity to talk about him.

Half the congregation was not Catholic!

All the more reason to discuss it. They are there out of respect or curiosity. Give them something to remember that is accurate and invites them to investigate further.
