AND NOW THE INSTITUTIONAL CATHOLIC CHURCH IS BEING INVESTIGATED BY A FEDERAL GRAND JURY AS A CRIME ORGANIZATION!

I write institutional Church over the true Church which is comprised of orthodox and orthopraxisis everyday, rank and file Roman Catholic clergy, religious and laity who adhere to the Deposit of Faith.

Pope Francis thinks that doing everything we can to implement Vatican II is the most pressing issue for the Church all the while denigrating bread and butter Catholics who simply want the truths of Catholicism to help shape their lives and salvation.

Holy Father, the most pressing issue you and your cohorts have is to reform the post Vatican  II institutional Church that is now being understood more like the mafioso crime syndicate rather than the bride of Christ.

Holy Father stop your ambiguous, confusing papacy and deal with this historic scandal, the worst in history and start by answering the great reformer’s questions, Archbishop Viganò and answer the Dubia!

As to Pope Francis and Archbishop Viganò...

Father McDonald, you have been among the few folks, at least to my knowledge, who has noted that (if Archbishop Viganò has told the truth...he's been caught in at least one lie) Pope Benedict XVI is every much (if not more so) to "blame" as is Pope Francis in regard to the McCarrick "scandal."

Let us pretend that Archbishop Viganò has told the truth (we know of at least one lie from him).

1. Pope Benedict XVI refused to enforce supposed severe "sanctions" that he had imposed upon then-Cardinal McCarrrick.

2. Then Cardinal McCarrick, under supposed severe canonical sanctions, attended events at which Pope Benedict XVI was present.

3. Pope Benedict XVI, in attendance at events with then-Cardinal McCarrick, gave every impression that then-Cardinal Mccarrick was in good standing with the Pope and Church.

4. Archbishop Viganò concelebrated Mass with then-Cardinal McCarrick, who was under supposed canonical sanctions...and known to Archbishop Viganò as a supposed sexual predator.

5. Archbishop Viganò, at a gala dinner, honored and heaped praise upon then-Cardinal McCarrick.

Archbishop Viganò's claims in question actually make Pope Benedict XVI, as well as Archbishop Viganò, look far worse than Pope Francis.

Father, I’m glad you have refrained from responding to MT here. Don’t even try to make sense of his non-sense. His problem is not your problem unless you choose to be dragged into it.

Course Benedict may have resigned partly due to McCarrick and friends.

Anonymous,

I agree that the best course is to ignore MT (as in empty)

Dan, Pope Benedict XVI gave us his reason(s) for his having resigned. On top of that, he said that he resigned freely...nobody pressured him to resign. That is what he has maintained.
