“We wish to make it clear that neither the Synodal Path, nor any body established by it, nor any Episcopal Conference has the competence to establish the ‘Synodal Council’ at the national, diocesan or parish level,” a Jan. 16 letter sent to the German bishops explained“

I mean this is good news but does not allay any fears of the wider church liberalizing at its own synod. Better pray.

Only about 2% of German “Catholics” attend Sunday Mass so we should definitely take their advice. The Novus Ordo is packing them in according to our resident Papalator! Success, New Springtime! Yada yada yada. But for the State subsidies, the German “Catholic” Church would be a memory.
