WHAT IF “THEY” MEANING “HE” RESTRICTS THE ANICENT ROMAN MISSAL EVEN FURTHER?

There are and have been rumors and rumors of rumors that Pope Francis will further restrict the TLM.

So what! Get off your butts, neo-traditionalists and start improving the manner in which the Modern Roman Missal is celebrated. I’m especially speaking about the priests who offer it.

Christ and His One Holy Sacrifice is present in every form of the Mass that is valid. To make what Vatican II asked of the reform of the Mass, the source and summit of our Catholic Faith, celebrate MRM by the book with beauty.

Maintain the Gregorian Chant that is and was present in the TLM!

Do the red and read the black. If your bishop allows you to celebrate ad orientem, celebrate the MRM that way.

Ask if the Penitential Act can be done at the foot of the altar.

Choreograph the MRM as it would be in the TLM.

Stop your whining, keep the faith, remain in union with the pope, whoever he is, and just do it!

You are probably right about this rumor because the Pope ‘cracked down’ on the German Synod. He usually does something like that to offset reaction to his real agenda.

Traditiones Crudelis (Custodes) is ultra vires so would any further restrictions

I agree, with reservations.

The mass, either form, should be celebrated adhering to rubrics.

Where latitude exists for more (ad orientem/PAFOTA etc.), I'm on board.

To invalid/restrict a form of mass that was deemed valid, harmonious and relevant etc. for today's Catholic, by one who may well be deemed a Doctor of the Church, seems reactive, impulsive and driven by ideology and whim.

True, PF has the keys to the car at the moment. When the Holy Spirit determines that it is time to move on from this era, PF's eventual successor will hopefully remedy this situation for the overall good of the Church. This isn't just to keep TLM'ers in the fold, I believe the aggregate Church benefits from the treasure and inheritance that is the TLM.

Father, our Bishop, has mandated no Latin ,no Chant, in Novus Ordo and no cross pollination of rubrics in the TLM into the N.O.Obviously , the suggestions you make are good, but the enemies of Tradition want to bury it forever, regardless of what ambiguous documents of Vatican Two may say.It has been my experience over 50 years, that these documents can be used for virtually anything!

Amont,

Your bishop is a heretic, defying Vatican II. I would not give that diocese one red cent. Send your money to support Catholic causes. I would give him something extra - like a punch in the face, but I have always been generous

Trump said, "The guards are being very gentle with him. I’d like to punch him in the face, I’ll tell you that.” (Trump, 22 February 2016, Las Vegas, NC)

And they wonder...

Fr K,

And I wonder why a Catholic priest votes for the Party of Moloch when abortion is the raison d'etre for its existence today.

By the way, you did not copy China Joe Biden's quote on this subject:

Biden had been asked about debating the then-GOP nominee, and he said to the crowd: “They asked me would I like to debate this gentleman, and I said no. I said, ‘If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.’”

EPIC Fail, again!

Note that Trump was not a high school adolscent in 2016 when he blustered about punching someone in the face, he was 70 years old. He should know better, but I'm not holding my breath.

Although your behaviour suggets otherwise, I think you're not an immature high schooler, either.

Fr K,

LOL - what a pathetic defense. The old boy is as offensive now as he was then! You love them abortion droolers!

A seventy year old huffing and puffing about punching someone in the face is beyond laughably pathetic. Your attraction to Trump is obvious.

Fr K,

Deflect all you want but senile Joe is far worse from a moral perspective than Trump. If you think a “Catholic” looking for ways to expand infanticide and the grooming of children is hardly a moral compass and we already know you lack a moral compass.

TJM - Facts aren't deflections. I think one of the top reasons you, and too many others, find Trump so applealing is that he exhibits the kind of adolescent behavior - punching someone in the face, grabbing women's genitals, calling people names, telling blatant lies, shouting down those who disagree with him - that you would like to engage in but can't.
