NOTHING LIKE FREE ADVERTIZEMENT FOR THE NEW EVANGELIZATION!

Macon's Visitor's Center put this billboard up at the Interstate 75/475 interchange in Macon! Nice, no?

Our family got a kick out of seeing it for first time on the way to our Wonderful Wednesday this evening! Were you aware this was coming?

No I didn't know about it until someone sent a photo of it! I love what they chose as the caption though. And let's face it, St. Joseph is the number one tourist destination in downtown Macon!

It's nice. Not a word about "Catholic" or even "church" on the Billboard?

Yeah, it is nice and all that…but it is still Macon's cheesy self-promotion. Macon does not give a damn about Catholicism and is simply exploiting St. Jo's in order to attract tourists.

Gene, I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth, the fact is the Visitor bureau gives us free advertisement. Tourists won't really know that this is a function Catholic Church until they get here but every citizen of Macon knows that the image on the billboard is St. Joseph Catholic Church even without the name on the billboard.

I don't find it cheesy at all and the visitor's centers sends hundreds of people our way!

I think it's simply great - a nice, dignified tip of the hat to our beautiful church! We will be looking for it with a pinch of glee on every trip to church!
