Fr Ruff takes a CB position, and opinion, really, and construes information to support his prejudice. Even if he is correct, his methods place his conclusions in doubt. His arguments also undermine my already shakey faith in Vatican II. The arguments for it and for the actions attributed to it strongly imply there was a preceding and conclusive judgment against the previous millennium of Christian and Catholic practice. It also seems circular to claim that all versions of liturgy and language are acceptable but one.

Ruff is a rigid man who cannot stand correction or debate. If you disagree with him in his comment section you are banished. Typical modern day "liberal."

RCG, you nailed it. The problem with former conservatives is that they take their dogmatism to their liberal perspective. As Pope Francis, the Supreme Psychologist, would teach, there is something wrong with rigid people underneath the facade of ideology.
But we don’t place our faith in Ecumenical Councils and the ideological interpretation of these, we place our faith in the Triune God. We preach God, not Councils or liturgies or whatever else that pullls your chain.

Interestingly, Praytell now post items that allow for comments and others that do not. This post from Praytell allows no comments. I wonder why? It is such an indictment against Fr. Anthony and his superficial dogmatism.
