WHAT WILL THIS DAY BE LIKE.....? I WONDER.....

Sedition and treason are carried out by a right wing mob of insurrectionists who invaded the US Congress at the Capitol while in an extraordinary session. Four are killed.

Those responsible could be charged with treason and sedition in federal court and the death sentence is not off the table unless President Elect Biden once he is in office ends it.

But who instigated all of this and now for months. The current President of the USA. President Trump who has a cult-like following and followers who think he is a political messiah, hang on and believe every word he says when it is clear that often this president is a pathological liar.

Like Mussolini who had a charismatic personality and his Italianness was on steroids, he also had a dedicated following, many cultural Catholics and others practicing Catholics despite the fact that he was a fascist. He did many good things that Italians liked, like getting the trains to run on time but other things too. But he was in cahoots with another cultic figure, Hitler. And both Hitler and Mussolini fanned the flames of populism with high octave fuel. And World War II ensued. Those who sided with Hitler and Mussolini were ardent, fanatical supporters and turned a blind eye to their cult of the personality.

Basically, we have a Jim Jones effect in these two leaders and yesterday we saw Trump’s followers drink the Koolaide and continue to do so, even after sedition and treason, to support him and create other conspiracy theories that those who invaded the Capitol were antifa! Really!?

So what will this day be like? I wonder...

President Trump could be removed from office under the 25th amendment and could be charged with sedition and treason. He could face the death penalty for it.

Or in light of that possibility, he will resign and let Vice President Pence oversee a peaceful transition of power. He can cut a deal and save the nation from a political trial of a former US President.

But two weeks more with an unhinged and clearly isolated president who has the nuclear option, literally, is quite dangerous.

2020: Worst year ever.
2021: Hold my beer.

My prediction, for what it is worth, is that under Joe Biden, before the end of 2021, Texas will secede from the union, beginning the break up of the USA into 4 or 5 smaller countries.

See this map from "The Catholic Knight" blog that predicted such a thing nearly a decade ago:

The Washington Times has run with proof some folk leading the charge on the capitol were Antifa masquerading as Trump supporters.

They also have done this to BLM.

ANTIFA has spotted the weak seam in America and is pulling the country apart quite successfully. They are winning and leading the country into anarchy.

Anonymous said...

Forgot to add...and who is funding ANTIFA showing up nationwide....nobody ever asks. No friend of the USA, for sure.

Trump supporters were played the fool by Antifa and so have been BLM and anyone else who gets out and protests. Who do you think sowed bombs throughout DC?

The anarchists with heavy backing are winning and folk need to WAKE UP to the threat to this nation.

Thirty-eight years ago my country was involved in a skirmish 8000 miles from home, not of our own making, and with a country towards which we had no enmity. The Falklands conflict.

The US SofS Al Haig sided with Argentina, as did the US Ambassadress to the UN, Jeane Kirkpatrick. President Reagan sat on the fence. A young senator (and there is a clip of this on YouTube) went on TV to make it clear that in the event of hostilities the US would and should back Britain.

His name? Joe Biden.

Looking at that map from "the Catholic Knight" blog.
I think if an actual break up of the USA were to happen, that map is close, but having lived in Michigan for a decade, outside of Detroit and its surrounding suburbs, the rest of the state culturally is more like Canada than the US, so I would think Michigan and Alaska would both join Canada. I also tend to think Texas would remain a independent republic rather than join a re-made Confederacy. I would also guess the three countries listed as Lakota, New Zion, and Aztlan would be one country instead of 3.

The riots in Oregon and Washington State and elsewhere were much more violent, and many are still going on. There was no Democrat outrage over them, they were called peaceful protests and love feats. They were the precursors to Capitol Hill becoming the new CHAZ, there is even speculation that the folks that destroyed so many US cities also had a hand in yesterday’s events. The authorities have their photographs, they will find the answers. Trump rallies might have been boisterous, but they didn’t have a history of violence. The last complaint was concerning the wakes from their boats. I’m waiting until the evidence is in before rushing to judgment. The Democrat’s are rushing because they can use this to their advantage.

Elected officials let riots run unabated over the summer. The threat of more riots caused many officials to not take action when election fraud was apparent. The mob won. When mobs are allowed to win then other mobs form. Yesterday’s riot is a direct result of the success of the riots this past summer. The people that allowed those riots are directly responsible for what happened at our Capitol.

Joe Biden also formerly was opposed to abortion. I would not count on him for help in Great Britain today. Joe Biden has been a lot of things, but he is primarily a crooked politician getting wealthy like all the rest/majority, and looking out primarily for himself, family and pals.

Antifa and BLM have been rioting and causing mayhem for months now. Democrats and the media by and large have been giving them a pass. Not much was done to stop them from committing violent crimes and destruction, even against Federal property.
So now the media and Democrats are indignant. Wow.
Think about this-every assembly of Trump supporters in Washington this year up to now has been peaceful. That is except for when Trump supporters were attacked by BLM and Antifa. One thing I noticed in looking at the pictures is how much some of them were dressed like Antifa, and what happened yesterday is what Antifa has been doing for the large part of 2020.

John:

Joe Biden has aligned himself more with the left-leaning elements of the Democrat party. It would be great if the old Joe Biden showed up at his inauguration.
I have my doubts that given the same circumstances today, Mr. Biden would side with Britain over Argentina. From what I remember reading about what happened back then, the U.S. did give some support to Britain. For the longest time there has been a strain of Anti-Americanism south of our border so any support we would give to Britain had to be carefully considered in light of that.

If you heard Joe Biden speak last night, you heard the voice of courage, decency and common sense. An American leader, finally. He called out the Trump rioters just as he criticized the summer rioters. We need him right now. Thirteen more days and we are done with the buffoon.

In 1982 the US saw the Argentine junta, despite an appalling human rights record, as a bulwark against communism. In retrospect the Soviet threat in South America was grossly exaggerated.

The US gave considerable support to the UK in the Falkands conflict. At the height of the Cold War the idea that the second most powerful member of NATO could be humiliated by a tin-pot South American dictatorship was unacceptable.

Now that the US is firmly established as the only superpower she has no reason to be jealous of the UK (which was a factor in UK/US relations for much of the 20th century). The fact that in military terms the UK is the only other global power (China, India, Russia are regional powers) has made US/UK co-operation in defence matters closer and more important than ever.

What we saw in Washington yesterday was the collapse of Trump's populism. Every populist leader eventually faces the same fate. Every populist leader enters into the political ring with many many promises, all of which require magical thinking to believe.

There is always a collapse because magic simply doesn't work. At some point people start to recognize this, whether they acknowledge you consciously or not. Trump simply could not deliver on the multiple promises he made especially to his most stalwart followers.

As a result they took things into their own hands as everyone knew would happen and committed acts of violence and destruction that are typical of the response to a populist political leader who fails. Trump got exactly what he deserved and what he made possible.

All that Bobby Hesley has proven in the video you linked is that the Q-Anon “shaman” (and avid Trump supporter by the way) has also appeared at BLM protests, as already reported. See, e.g.

https://www.newsweek.com/qshaman-washington-antifa-protest-qanon-1559599

Again, Mr. Hesley (and you) need to do the research before helping to spread baseless conspiracy theories. As for the second person with the alleged hammer and sickle on his hand, we can’t really see his hand well in the full picture, can we, only in the blow up. Don’t you fine that at least a little suspicious?

Also, you might want to research the many claims that far right extremists infiltrated the BLM protests and were responsible for much of the violence. You see, everyone can play this game.

Do your own research as independently and impartially as you can (combating confirmation and in-group bias as much as possible), and then make up your own mind. Take nothing at face value, even from those with whom you are sympathetic. If we all do this perhaps we have a chance to climb out of the abyss into which the forces that seek to divide us have cast us.

2 views from Australia:

“Every Australian should be more than a little concerned at the US state of play right now. To see the world’s greatest democracy and our biggest and most reliable ally tearing itself apart at the seams is heart-wrenching.
How the nation that won peace over tyranny in World War II could arrive at such decline - to become such a world laughing stock - is unfathomable.
If war were to break out with China tomorrow we would be left high and dry. The US may try to help but there is nothing that would make this help credible: no will, no national morale, no cohesiveness; nothing. Wars can’t be won by weapons alone.
We are in big trouble; let’s hope the US can find a way to recover from this quickly, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.”

“As an Australian watching the unmitigated disaster of the dying days of the Trump presidency, I cannot believe the hubris of Donald, who is behaving like a 4 year old throwing his toys out of the crib......
The fact that millions of febrile Americans still support his masquerade as a democratic leader leads me to suspect the days of the US as a powerful constitutional democracy are over.
Consequently, in the next decade or two, leadership in world affairs will belong to the increasingly powerful and disciplined Chinese Communist Party. Any respect for the US as a world leader in the eyes of other nations has been trashed irrevocably....”

From the editorial in the conservative “The Australian”:

“.....(in Georgia) judging by the outcome, Mr Trump’s ego-driven push to make the contest a referendum about himself cost the Republican Party dearly. The races should have been a referendum on blocking the Democrats from controlling all of congress and the executive branch. But the message was lost by Mr Trump’s insistence on telling voters, day after day, that he was cheated in November, regardless of the lack of any credible evidence any court - including those presided over by sound judges appointed by him - would accept.....

.....as a result of the Democrats’ unfettered power, Mr Biden will be less able to resist the demands of his party’s progressive wing to lurch to the left. .....as The Wall Street Journal noted: ‘We hope Republicans keep Mr Trump’s contribution to these defeats in mind over the next two years as their taxes and energy costs rise, as Woke cultural mandates rain down from Washington, and as more of the economy comes under political control. By his destructive behaviour, especially since his defeat, Mr Trump has erased much of his own legacy’.....

........this is unfortunate, especially for the ‘quiet Americans’, law-abiding Republican supporters, which is most of the 74 million Americans who voted for Mr Trump. Many appreciated his pre COVID economic reforms and tax cuts, his foreign policy work in Israel and the Middle East, his firmness with China, his sensible judicial appointments and his willingness to give the pro-life lobby a hearing....
But most Republican voters know that his most sacred duty as President is to defend the constitution, not to sabotage it, and to accept his defeat with honour, and to not attempt a dishonourable revolt.....”

When I saw the 'nuclear option' cartoon I initially thought it was the dome of St Peter's which was being blown off. It's not just Washington which is crying out for a fresh start. How long, O Lord?

Anonymous 2,

LOL. The riots began at the end of May. Pelosi said nothing until her pollsters told her in late August that the riots were hurting Dem election prospects. Biden also said Antifa was an "idea."

Hey, Anonymous 2, chew on this:

What a difference two years makes. On October 4, 2018, taking over the Capitol was just another form of protest.
On that date, The Hill reported, “More than 300 people were taken into custody by police on Capitol Hill after descending on a pair of Senate office buildings Thursday afternoon to protest the confirmation process of Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee.

“The vast majority of the arrests, 293, were a result of protests in the Hart Senate Office Building, where protesters crowded in the atrium. Loud chants could be heard throughout the building, which is structured so the hallways of each floor open up and look out onto the first floor.

“Those arrested in Hart were charged with crowding, obstructing or incommoding, according to Capitol Police. Another nine people were arrested on the fourth floor of Dirksen Senate Office Building and charged with unlawful demonstrations.”

CNN also called the crowd protesters.

On Wednesday, CNN called pro-Trump protesters who stormed the Capitol “rioters.”

One commenter said “, where protesters crowded in the atrium. Loud chants could be heard throughout the building, which is structured so the hallways of each floor open up and look out onto the first floor.” As a defense to what happened in 2021. Yes the crazy 2018 leftist protested illegally yet even your quote specifies their location, an atrium. The people in 2021 climbed walls, some wore nazi regalia, broke into the office of the speaker of the house, broke the glass of the doors into the chamber of representatives and made a mess in the chamber of the senate. It is fair to expect so much more from people who claim to be part of the Republican Party, the party which generally has greater religious and Christian overtones and a law and order message. This led to the deaths of 4 and 1 police officer defending the Capitol , i strongly dislike CNN but them calling what happened the other day done by ‘rioters’ is just and fair. What they call radical leftists is wrong but a whole other issue.

Re Antifa, Biden was not completely correct to call it “an idea.” On the other hand, here are some actual “facts” about it:

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/what-is-antifa/

As for Antifa involvement, the Washington Times withdrew the story, have seen exactly one video of a black clad helmeted glass breaker being restrained by crowd saying he is Antifa, one BLM videographer noted as present inside, and a slew of Q-anon Trump supporters being ID'd....

Most damning is Andy Ngo offering opinion that to date he has seen no overt evidence of theit presence, and doubts them capable of mounting such a large operation as he has never before seen this ability, and Ngo is THE subject matter expert on Antifa. His website easily found for the curious.

Time will tell, but to date a huge big zero of IDs of outside agitators, and if this holds true, folk are gonna have to admit who owns this boondoggle.

All of this anti-Trump vitriol isn't surprising. The sheer hypocrisy isn't surprising. The scapegoating isn't surprising. Considering that there were probably more than 200,000 people surrounding the capitol and so few people bothered to go in IS surprising...but let's not talk about that.

No, let's talk about what's going to happen when all of the "Trump Cultists" that all the self-righteous, enlightened folk sneer at, what's going to happen when Trump is gone? Do the "true Americans" who accept the "election" of 2020 honestly think it's going to stop?

I strongly suspect that when Trump is gone, it's only going to pick up steam. Unfortunately, so will the coming oppression and heavy-handed tactics from the rulers of our former democracy.

The original idea was that our government existed with the consent of the governed. Boy, was I ever dumb to think THAT would last!

With Trump impeached/imprisoned/executed by firing squad....

what will the Dems and Hollywood and media do with their lives? They already know their hate is far more fulfilling than their normal sex, drugs, booze supply which has never failed, but its enjoyment faded once they were hooked on hate?

I predict a mass suicide.....not one left......which will leave most Republicans with suddenly empty lives as they already know the sex, Budweiser and weed isn't what is used to be, leading to another wave of suicides...

Leaving only sane people left....a win/win if ever i saw one
