WHAT A CROCK OF CRAP ARE THE ACCUSATIONS AGAINST CARDINAL PELL, ABSOLUTELY A CROCK!

WARNING: Do not view this video if you do not want to hear the most disgusting pornographic details of the lies against Cardinal Pell! As described by the investigator, there is no way that any of this happened in the Cathedral sacristy, absolutely no way. Who is Australia kidding and do they want to be the laughing stock of the world? The cardinal's conviction is a joke at best and the most virulent form of anti-Catholicism that Australia's judicial system can dish out at worst! Austrailia's judicial system as well as this  conviction based on this evidence should be investigated by a world court.

A video of Cardinal Pell’s first police interview over 1996 abuse allegations has been released, showing him describing them as a “completely false, madness”.

Although Pell did not take the stand at his trial in Melbourne, the footage was shown to the jury at his trial.

We all know, and it goes without saying, that real, horrendous abuse, of all ages and sexes has taken place. With that caveat, something "smells bad" here. If, and I say if, this is a crock, I pray the the Australian justice system will eventually get this right. On a more macro level, I believe that this is just the tip of the iceberg. The PA AG has unleashed what will become a coast to coast witch hunt in which rightly, many will be caught for various reasons; abuse itself and the aiding and abetting of cover up. That said, the intended and unintended consequences will be Diocese's going bankrupt, Priests imprisoned falsely and our church will be tried and convicted again and again. Accusations without facts, born out of emotion and the "moral certitude" that "where there'smoke there's fire" will convict and condemn outside the justice system. This is happening today; Justice Kavanaugh by way of example. The media will cover what supports the narrative and ignore/gloss over what doesn't; Gov Ralph Northum, Lt Gov Fairfax etc. The usual suspects will be rounded up and kangaroo courts (no pun intended, Australia) will met out a form of justice that will ruin this nation and our church. I am sickened.

This interesting because he is being sent to prison based only on the testimony of the accusers. Is that right? I have only bothered to read a couple of articles and they focused on the lurid details of the accusations but didn’t cite any evidence. Is there any? Corroborated testimonies? Etc.

In this article:

they quote Cardinal Pell's lawyer. This can't be true. If it is: With friends like this, who needs enemies.

Pell's lawyer, Robert Richter, described the abuse as a “temporary loss of judgment” in response to an “irresistible impulse.”

Attention: To the folks on this blog who, during past week or so, supported the garbage and lies that SNAP, as well as additional victims, and their pressure groups, employed to defame Pope Francis (the same folks defamed Pope Benedict XVI)...

...then groups who trashed Rome's conference on abuse...who trashed Pope Francis's address...

...well, those of you who had thrown in with said folks...

...I'm certain that you will support their latest attack against the Vicar Christ, as well as Cardinal Pell.

Hey...you folks insisted that the SNAP crowd is to be believed.

http://www.snapnetwork.org/cardinal_pell_avoids_immediate_discipline_feb19

"So much for the “all-out battle.”

"Just days after making bold statements in Rome, Pope Francis is continuing the trend he set during his global summit by choosing not to discipline prelates who have committed crimes against children.

"Despite being convicted of sexually abusing two young boys, Cardinal George Pell won’t face immediate discipline from the Vatican, according to church spokespersons.

"We continue to be astounded by the Vatican’s reticence to discipline men who have committed, abetted, covered up or minimized cases of abuse. Yet Cardinal Pell’s case in particular is even more shocking.

"Cardinal Pell has been convicted in a court of law in the country that he calls home. If such a conviction is not enough to compel immediate action from Pope Francis, then what will be? When can survivors, parents, and parishioners expect Pope Francis’ next salvo in his “battle” against abuse?

"The answer from church officials seems to be “not anytime soon.” We hope that when Cardinal Pell is sentenced for his crimes, Australian survivors will find solace and healing.

"Fortunately, here in the United States there are people out there who are heeding the pope’s words, though probably not in the way that he would like. To date, at least eighteen states have undertaken investigations into clergy abuse in their states.

"Just today, Nebraska joined those ranks by issuing subpoenas to churches across their state. We look forward to the outcomes of these investigations to bring the transparency that the church has long promised, and hope that the remaining attorneys general who have not yet begun investigations will take steps to do so today.

"No institution can police itself. We are glad that police and prosecutors across the United States are engaging in their own “all-out battle” against abuse and hope that survivors, witnesses, and whistleblowers will join them in the fight by coming forward, speaking out, and making reports to local law enforcement."

(SNAP, the Survivors Network, has been providing support for victims of sexual abuse in institutional settings for 30 years. We have more than 25,000 survivors and supporters in our network. Our website is SNAPnetwork.org)

This is even worse. I can't believe the judge did not rule a mistrial because of inadequate council.

The victims survivors pressure groups, such as SNAP — supported by certain folks who post here as said groups have attacked Pope Francis viciously (just as they did to Pope Benedict XVI — displayed their true colors during the Vatican's recent conference on sexual abuse.

They denounced everything that Pope Francis, our Cardinals and bishops did — and the SNAP crowd received support from people here, as well as Catholic right-wing blogs and Twitter folks.

They denounced Pope Francis' beautiful closing speech.

As I noted last week, there isn't anything that Holy Mother Church can do to appease said pressure groups.

Now, victims groups are dancing in the street in regard to Cardinal Pell's conviction in question. They are happy, pleased...glad that in some way, they have helped to stick it to Cardinal Pell.

They hate Pope Francis, Cardinal Pell — they hate the Church.

They have denounced Pope Francis for his having failed to laicize Cardinal Pell.

Again, the SNAP folks, and similar groups, are on the warpath against Holy Mother Church.

Unlike certain folks who post here, I will never throw in with said folks.

But to those who had throw in with said folks...be consistent. Tell us that as they are victims, they have every right to rage against Cardinal Pell.

Go ahead.

Pax.

They have every right to rage against Cardinal Pell, or whomever.... but if there rage was based on evidence, I suspect their rage would be against a certain someone higher up in the heiarchy.

Found an article that says Cardinal Pell knew of a molesting priest and di nothing. Even discussed it with other priests. Tried to bribe a victim. He may have been the target of an extended attack or has been covering up abuse for a while. Either way, Something is up.

Bee here:

Thanks for the warning. I'm not going to watch the video. I got a close enough idea from the previous article about how a fully vested priest could not do what was claimed.

Sometimes I think they publish this stuff for the porn value of it. I try to keep myself clear of that sort of stuff in whatever form it takes. Because you can't un-hear something.

God bless.
