Chick-fil-a fried fish sandwich is returning to menus for Lent

(Gray News) – Chick-fil-A is now serving fish in honor of Lent.

The restaurant chain began selling its Fish Sandwich on March 6, which is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, the six-week-period before Easter during which some Christians abstain from certain foods and activities.

Chick-fil-A introduced the sandwich as a seasonal item in 2016, according to USA Today. It will be available this year at select locations from March 6 to April 20, the day before Easter.

The chain is also offering the Deluxe Fish Sandwich and boxed 2- and 3-count fish entrées and meals – served with Waffle Potato Fries.

You can check the company’s website to see if a location near you is offering the seasonal items.

I love Chick Fil A's Christian views, but I don't like their stuff. They put sugar in their batter.

Several studies have determined that the sodium scare is junk science.

But for those who avoid food that is high in sodium, let it be known that Chick-fil-A's fish sandwiches are loaded with sodium.

The American Heart Association recommends that most people should limit daily sodium consumption to 2,300 milligrams.

Chick-Fil-A:

-- Fish Sandwich: 860 milligrams of sodium. (That is 37 percent of the RDA of sodium.)

-- Deluxe Fish Sandwich: 1,100 milligrams of sodium. (47.8 percent RDA of sodium.)

Even Chick-fil-A's salads are loaded with sodium.

Southwest salad...1,070 milligrams. Cobb salad...1,380 milligrams. Market salad...700 milligrams.
==============================================================================

-- Wendy's fish sandwich: 970 milligrams...40 percent of RDA sodium.

-- McDonald's Filet-O-Fish (weight: 134 grams)...560 milligrams sodium...23 percent RDA.

===========================================================================================

Anybody who plans to eat meat, chicken, fish, as well as various salads, will consume a great deal of sodium.

Pax.

It is wonderful that God gives us all we need to help facilitate our death, particular judgment and God willing eternal life in heaven where chic fil a is filled with sodium but continues to facilitate eternal happiness.

Frankly, Chick Fil-A's fundamentalist "Bahble-thumpin" culture has always worn thin on me, but I loved it when they stood up to the homosexual lobby. If they are willing to do this for Catholics, then more power to them and they have my thanks.

There's only one thing missing for me when I eat at Chick Fil A: flavor. Sorry, nice as they might be, for my money, Chick Fil A is the most bland-tasting of all fast food restaurants. But the ARE pretty polite!

Global warming is also junk science. I might give it some serious thought if its biggest proponents, like Al Gore, weren't such hypocrites. His global footprint is HUGE

I love Chick-Fil-A's grilled chicken sandwiches. They are very flavorful. Their fruit cups are also very good, and are a very healthy option while travelling.
