CARDINAL TURKSON RESIGNS? IT IS NOW CONFIRMED BY ANOTHER NEWS SOURCE

UPDATED! AND THIS BLOG IS THE FIRST TO REPORT IT AFTER MESSAINITALIONO AND GLORIA TV JUST AS I WAS THE FIRST TO SHOW POPE BENEDICT WEAR THE FANNON FOR THE FIRST TIME…

Gloria TV IS THE SOURCE:

Cardinal Turkson Resigns

Cardinal Peter Turkson, 73, the Prefect of the Dicastery for the service of integral human development, has resigned together with the other heads of the dicastery, MessaInLatino.it (December 16) writes.

Resignation of Cardinal Peter Turkson, Pope Francis’ “Minister of Charity”

Cardinal Peter Turkson, who since 2016 has piloted the Dicastery for Integral Development, a sort of great ministry of charity created by Pope Francis shortly after his election, has resigned, according to several Vatican sources, confirming information that appeared on traditionalist sites Thursday evening December 16.

Rumors were in fact running in the corridors of the dicastery, located in the Saint-Calixte palace, where 60 people work and since 2016 bringing together the pontifical councils for Justice and Peace, “Cor Unum”, for migrants and for health. The resignation would be on the verge of being formalized by the Pope, and could also concern several other senior officials of this dicastery, which manages issues deemed strategic of the pontificate, such as the environment and migrants.

Audit and resignations

These difficulties had prompted Pope Francis to instruct the American Cardinal Blaise Cupich, in June, to carry out an audit on the functioning of the dicastery. According to our information, in this audit, completed on July 1 with two other people, Cardinal Cupich notably underlined the difficulties of governance of the dicastery, recommending in particular to better define the tasks of each

Here's an interesting snippet on Turkson:

"The Vatican's goal in engaging secular groups on matters of human development is not provoking conversion or promoting Catholicism but advancing "common humanity," a top cardinal [Turkson] is categorically declaring."

With "leadership" like this, no wonder the Church is in the dumpster. A great reason to no longer contribute to Peter's Pence. Contribute to Catholic parishes which actually promote the Catholic Faith. In another 10 years or so, these fake Catholic types will be in nursing homes or dead.

This dicastery, whose official Latin title is 'Dicasterium ad Integram Humanam Progressionem Fovendam' came into being on 1 January 2017. 'Integer -gra -grum' has several meanings, but in this context can only mean 'whole' or 'entire'. And its remit reflects this, covering everything from arms control to economic inequality, from the death penalty to the environment. (One issue, refugees and migrants, PF has reserved to himself.)

This sort of 'ministry of everything' cannot function efficiently, if indeed it can function at all. Its responsibilities also overlap with those of the Secretariat of State, which can lead to conflict. This is probably intentional. Hitler made sure that the ministries of the Third Reich overlapped one another; keeping his subordinates at each others' throats allowed him to rise above the fray, his authority unquestioned. This is how dictatorships work, something that Bergoglio learnt from Peron.

In the meantime, it's rumoured that another 'Führerbefehl' is imminent, this time forbidding the use of the older Rituale Romanum, which was not in Traditionis Custodes, aka the Jailers of Tradition, but was recently ordered by PF's Vicar-General for Rome. Given the unsatisfactory nature of the newer ritual books (and that's putting it mildly) I predict that it will provoke widespread and justified disobedience.

John, so you predict outright suppression of the Old Form? What about the use of Latin?

I would not put it past PF, an embittered and twisted old man with dictatorial tendencies, to attempt to suppress the older Rituale. However, the Rituale is not primarily concerned with public ceremonial; sacraments such as Baptism, Penance and Extreme Unction (plus most of the rites for the dead, which occupy a hundred pages of my copy of the Rituale) are usually administered 'privately'. Exorcism, by its very nature, is not a public spectacle, nor should it be.

When the present Rituale was promulgated by Paul V in 1614 (and subsequently updated) there was no suggestion that it superseded existing ritual books, which varied to a greater or lesser extent according to the various Uses of the Roman Rite then in force. This applies a fortiori to the post-V2 liturgical books. Ten years ago a priest who was by no means 'traditionalist' told me he would not use the 'Book of Blessings' because it didn't actually bless anything.

PF has no more authority to suppress the Rituale than he has to suppress any valid rite. Attempts to do so will prove futile, since Catholics have not only the right but also the duty to oppose such diktats.

And even the 'dictator Pope' cannot suppress the Latin language.
