MY CLAIRVOYANCE TELLS ME THAT CARDINAL TAGLE WILL NOT BE THE NEXT POPE: BUT WHO WILL HE OR SHE OR WHATEVER GENDER BE? JUST THINKING OUT-LOUD LIKE A GERMAN. Forgive me…

From the Pillar: Pope Francis overhauls Caritas Internationalis

Pope Francis dismissed the leadership of Caritas Internationalis Tuesday, appointing a temporary administrator to oversee sweeping changes to the Vatican-based umbrella body for Catholic charities around the world.

In a Nov. 22 decree, the pope announced that the organization’s senior figures were being relieved of their offices, including Caritas Internationalis president Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle.

Looks like another sledgehammer move by Francis to cut off at the knees any possible pretender to the throne except for whomever he has in mind for the job. The pronouncement particularly was targeted at leadership failings, thoroughly coating Tagle with the brush/hammerhead.

I do not get caught up in speculative talk as to whether this or that Cardinal will serve as our next Pope. But that is just my approach.

I need not worry about our next Pope. Thanks to the promise of Jesus Christ, our next Pope will teach the True Faith. Holy Mother Church has guaranteed that to Her spiritual children.

As Pope Venerable Pius XII declared: Jesus Christ "enriches pastors and teachers and ******* above all His Vicar on earth ******* with the supernatural gifts of knowledge, understanding and wisdom, so that they may loyally preserve the treasury of faith, defend it vigorously, and explain it and confirm it with reverence and devotion."

I will treat our next Pope (if I am alive) in line with the following from Pope Saint Pius X:

"Love the Pope. Therefore, when we love the Pope, there are no discussions regarding what he orders or demands, or up to what point obedience must go, and in what things he is to be obeyed; when we love the Pope, we do not say that he has not spoken clearly enough...we do not place his orders in doubt...we do not set above the authority of the Pope that of other persons, however learned, who dissent from the Pope, who, even though learned, are not holy, because whoever is holy cannot dissent from the Pope."

Pax.
