CARDINAL ZUPPI’S THUMBING OF TC CRITICIZED BY PROGRESSIVE LITURGICAL THEOLOGIAN, DR ANDREA GRILLO….

 Photo from Dr. Grillo’s blog…

It is sad that in our listening Church, Dr. Grillo doesn’t listen to a powerful Vatican Cardinal who has favor with Pope Francis. And unfortunately, neither is Dr. Grillo listening to what he is saying, as my mother describes it. Good grief!

Read Fr. Z’s translation of Dr. Grillo’s blog post. Listen to him and then scratch your head. Then, write a note and ask him, “Good grief! Do you hear what you are saying?”:

Wherein (Dr. Grillo) goes to the Zoo

Forgive typos… I am writing under time constraint and pressures.

Biretta tip to Peter Kwasniewski  – o{]:¬) – for the following from…(Dr.) Andrea Grillo, whose photo on his blog looks like – and it is exactly what he is doing – giving everyone the finger.

This is just more evidence of the failure of this pontificate and the absolute impossibility of this "pope". (or anyone else's) attempts to end the Tradition, Truths and Traditional Liturgy of the Catholic Church to create some "new church".

How do we know it's a failure? How do we know it's over? That's easy. The indignant ravings of Dr. Grillo are proof. Pope Francis' constant scolding that "we cannot go back to the old ways" are proof. Those are the cries of the defeated who are stamping their feet and making a pretense of a victory that does not exist. Those are the words that invite the contradiction of reality. Those are the desperate words of men who indulge in the misuse of authority, because truth and intellectual honesty do not support their arguments.

When you walk off the car lot after the salesman has offered you his "best deal", your desperate wife might cry "now we'll never get that car!" However, the experienced negotiator understands that the REAL negotiating has just begun.

We'll get our car. And we'll get it at our price. And some day, we can go to Mass without listening to the inane pussyfooting of a misguided priest and his folk group, deacons and lay lectors trying to sell us a car. I might not live to see it, but Francis' little fantasy has no substance, has no staying power and his desperation is nakedly transparent.

Jerome Merwick,

Amen! My 32 year old pastor who says the TLM will be around long after these nasties are just a bad memory. Grillo looks evil and what he is peddling is disaster for the Liturgy and the Faith
