I still remember being outraged in 1981 when stations began charging $1 per gallon.
Over here in the PRK (People's Republik of Kalifornia), in Silicon Valley, I paid $3.54/galon at Costco. It still averages $3.80 ~ $4.OO in the more exclusive areas (Cupertino, Palo Alto, etc.).
