That is creative and simple. Way to go.

Is a sort of serious vein: is it possible that someday, in the not-too-distant future there will be a feast day where the tradition is to wear surgical masks to Mass and after the blessing we throw them all in a fire? Perhaps the Feast Day of St Corona will be moved to March 22.

Thank you for doing your best to provide some spiritual comfort in uncommonly discomforting time.

Too little thinking outside the box by most bishops on how to sustain the flocks, and instead mostly a branch office manager bunker mentality,...

about zero thought as to how to continue functioning, WHILE following true health guidelines to assure a reasonably safe house of worship and worship itself.

It will enter their minds at some point, when they realize this might last a year or more, with perhaps a lull this summer, and more of this into Fall and Winter, and far too late to save The Year With No Easter due to paralyzed shepherds....

still trying to wrap my mind around shepherds willing to allow the first time in 2000yrs without a public celebration of Easter over virus of far less virulence than so many other historic plagues, rather than follow simple health guidelines and drive on....

In answer to the above post, yes, I can see modern bishops mandating masks...all the time....and only dispensing Communion into gloved contaminated hands...

I only THOUGHT I was disgusted with the majority of bishops until this broke loose.

Fr McDonald, did you estimate the number of vehicles or people that came?

We had 4000 viewers for our webcast. That is screens logged in so I think it is safe to estimate double or more than that number of people were watching. For a parish with about 700 members that is interesting to wonder who the balance were. It makes me compare that event to the Gospel reading and think that many people came to be fed.

I didn't count the cars, but there was a line of them and the procession moved quickly. Many cars will filled with people others single drivers. Some were crying which was moving for me personally.

Crying? That is messing up just sitting here.

What about confessions? We are doing appointments to try and manage the line for Social Distancing (SD).

To be clear on my last post, I meant to write that reading that story was making me cry just reading it.
