A VERY NICE WELCOME FOR ARCHBISHOP HARTMAYER BY THE ATLANTA ARCHDIOCESE

I am sure this video was generic and then finally put together with Archbishop Hartmayer's name and photo at the beginning and end.

A lot is going on in this huge Archdiocese of 1.2 million Catholics!

Well, he fits in well up here as a majority of those living in metro Atlanta are not native to Georgia. One thing he will like too---almost all of the Archdiocese is within a 2-hour drive of downtown Atlanta (well...if rush hour traffic is not too bad!). The 2-hour rule certainly does not apply in the state's other diocese! Of course we can't claim a coast up here---unless you count "beaches" at Lake Lanier and Lake Allatoona and a few other places!

Cutting down on mileage will be a great help to him. I think he spends his life traveling in our Diocese with Columbus about 5 hours away from Savannah.

Savannah to Columbus is 250 miles(possibly a little more), but if the Bishop wanted to travel from there south to visit Bainbridge, that is another 128 miles.
From Brunswick to Pine Mountain is over 340 miles.

Father what’s the chance of you being named our first Francis Bishop of Savannah? Hum, slim more likely to be a Bishop Martin ;-)

Haven’t been a big fan especially after I read he attended a USACP conference. He didn’t like when I mentioned it in an e-mail.
