I assume it's Lent with the violet tabernacle veil, burse and chalice veil. Then why the flowers? I thought the altar wasn't supposed to be decorated with flowers during Lent? Just wondering.
JR: Perhaps the picture was taken during pre-Lent (Septuagesima). The liturgical color is purple, but flowers and full-organ music are still permitted.

Wonderful! Fine workmanship! A real Catholic style altar, as opposed to the secular committee style tables generally used today.
Is the altar topped with stone?
In the first picture you can see the altar stone which would also contain a relic.

Thanks, Father. All I have is a cell phone, and missed the stone in that first shot.
