You have to be the age of Granpa Moses to remember that in the early days of the new and improved and often improvised Mass, our trusted liturgical theologians were telling us that the priest at Mass should be called the President of the Assembly.
So to all my brother priests today and all father bishops, HAPPY PRESIDENT'S DAY!

Anna Mary Robertson Moses (September 7, 1860 – December 13, 1961), known by her nickname Grandma Moses, was an American folk artist. She began painting in earnest at the age of 78 and is often cited as an example of an individual who successfully began a career in the arts at an advanced age.
Speaking of presidents, happy birthday to the (late) Margaret Truman (Daniel), the only child of our 33rd president. She would have been 96 today. She wrote a lot of murder mysteries in her time, titled "Murder in or at (fill in the blank). She died just short of her 84th birthday in 2008.
Anon, going even farther back Marcus Aurelius counted himself blessed for being taught to make small corrections in a small way. More currently, Lilly Thomlin observed that the trouble with the rat race is that even if you win, you're still a rat. Time for contemplation.
Thanks Anonymous, without you, readers would have likely interpreted "Granpa Moses" as a reference to Father's age and just a play on Grandma Moses' name, rather than an horrible show of ignorance of the fools you cannot suffer....
