This Vatican bishop in a high place there has the audacity to state that the only ones that should be denied Holy Communion are those publicly excommunicated from the Church.
Then he adds, or, there is a censure placed against them because of grave public scandal.
He gave Holy Communion to the pro-abortion Argentinian president and his mistress. Let's take the politics out of the abortion question and rely simply on religious sentiments and canon law.
1. Isn't a person who cooperates and promotes abortion excommunicated automatically, without a formal decree from his bishop?
2. This president is "living in sin" and publicly so with his mistress. Wouldn't that place a censure against him for the very reason that offering him and his mistress Holy Communion is gravely scandalous??????
3. Would he be allowed to teach First Holy Communion to a Second Grade CCD class?

It is likely nothing will be done. In fact, this may be a message to Argentina that the Vatican, Pope Francis, nee Cardinal Bergoglio, is endorsing their economic initiatives. A sort of public forgiveness of past sins. After all, it is possible that the President and his mistress confessed true contrition before Mass and promise to live as brother and sister hereafter as well as take up a pro-life stance. But, as we say in Maryland, “Fatti maschii, parole femine”. More than likely it is a contrived blessing on the junta with a let bygones be bygones nod. The people are yet again ground in the Peronist grist.
This paganistic tripe where cynical atheists are trading magic totems for political power. May their flames light the halls of Hell.
Gee isn't actually giving communion to pro abortion politicians and celebrities, 'promoting' those same policies? (They certainly aren't giving the impression that the Church takes them seriously anymore - it's all environment now in Vatican-ville) Doesn't this mean, according to the Church's own rules, that the priest is excommunicated?
Team Bergoglio...where our motto is, "Rules Are For OTHER People..or maybe, chumps"...but we thought really hard about, "Rules? We don' need no stinkin' rules, señor".
