HOLY FATHER, YOU HAVE BIGGER FISH TO FRY IN RESTABLISHING THE MODERN ROMAN MISSAL AS THE UNIFYING MISSAL OF THE CHURCH, NEVER MIND THAT WE ARE UNIFIED WITH THE EASTERN RITES IIN THEIR ANCIENT LITURGIES AND THE ORDINARIATE’S MISSAL AS WELL AS THE AMBROSIAN MISSAL AND THE DOMINICAN AND FRANCISCAN MISSALS AND OTHERS….

UPDATE! Another great performance at Mass! Yes! The 1962 Missal, Holy Father, is the problem. Watch the Twitter video here:

One can see why there is so much righteous anger at the pope suppressing the oldest liturgical rite of the Church and yet doing nothing about the liturgical abuses which abound in the Modern Roman Missal, which live-streaming and YouTube are making us all too abundantly aware!

I wonder if this Mass is even valid, since a woman is praying alone parts of the Eucharistic prayer. I think it is valid but illicit and such a deformation of the Modern Roman Missal which the officially encouraged creativity used in planning this form of the Mass at its manufactured inception is the culprit.

What was this priest’s bishop’s response to this? Did the form of the Mass get a crackdown?

What do I know, however, I would agree that this appears valid, yet illicit. My understanding of Spanish is limited (my shortcoming) however, it seems that the priest/con-celebrants at least say the words of institution?

I do not advocate for this presbyterian-style engagement of the laity and hope it is addressed and stopped forthwith. I'll give people the benefit of the doubt, I'm not sensing overreach of the laity, probably well-intentioned participation with a capital "P". Catechesis is likely needed for all involved.

You might check the antiquity of the Assyrian-Chaldean Liturgy.

EXACTLY.

It's not an accident that this pope has not opened himself up to having any discussions at his consistories of new cardinals. He would be confronted by questions he would rather not answer and he would be forced to discuss them with men who could demonstrate the intellectual dishonesty and emptiness of his positions with relative ease.

Again, the parallels with American politics are stunning. When Republicans win Democrat incumbent seats, when people who defend themselves are acquitted, the only thing the left can say, is that it is all "white supremacy." It's a hollow accusation that is easily disproven and insults our intelligence. Likewise, when our pope is confronted with sincere Catholics holding the line on Tradition and dogma, all he can do is cry "Pelagian" and accuse us of having no faith at all. But people who engage in name-calling don't fare so well when it comes down to defending their positions in a rational and intellectually honest way.

This will change. This will be fixed. This pope IS going away. But not, I fear, before he makes more of a mess.

Obviously the US hierarchy ignored these findings which show there was significant support for the traditional Latin Mass in the US at the time these surveys were taken. Agenda Uber Alles!

But remember, the reform was for the "good of the people" like teachers unions are "for the children."
