Father McDonald,

I had a delightful surprise at my little country church in Indiana this morning.

This morning, our 32 year old pastor said the Roman Canon in Latin and the Sequence was sung in Latin. The Missa de Angelis was used for the Ordinary. I was pleasantly surprised that so many sang it because it is a bit more challenging than other Chant settings. I spoke with our pastor after Mass and he told me that he gave a talk awhile back and informed the congregation what Vatican II really said about Latin and chant and most were very, suprised. There has been no negative pushback. His predecessor, although orthodox, and had even studied at the NAC in Rome, was a bit of a liturgical slob with no real interest in Ars Celebrandi. This is the first parish I have belonged to in years which has provided me with spiritual peace and hope for the future. He still celebrates the EF once a week but you can see the influence it has over how he celebrates the OF.

TJM, we need to focus on the modern misssl to make it a rff ef form in continuity. Your priest gets it.?Stop whining about TC and make the oF like the EF!

Father McDonald,

My young priests loves the EF and he will outlive the evil people who were behind TC. I think the only hope for the Church is to make the OF almost the mirror image of the EF.
