AND THAT GREAT SAVANNAH, GEORGIA CLASSIC WRITTEN AT A BAPTIST CHURCH RIGHT BEHIND THE CATHEDRAL OF SAINT JOHN THE BAPTIST ON HARRIS STREET BY A UNITARIAN! WHO WOULD HAVE THUNK?/span>
It may have been written at a Baptist church but the writer of Jingle Bells was Unitarian.
I kept thinking that the little Baptist Church behind the rectory where I lived in Savannah had become a Unitarian Church, so it was in the back of my mind that Unitarian was in the mix. However, the lyrics are JINGLE bells, JINGLE bells, JINGLE all the way... which clearly shows he was a closeted Trinitarian! :)
