Facing and listening to God together…
Today’s Offertory Anthem. Our young schola is spectacular and they are all in their 20’s!
I’m exhausted! Peel me a grape!
Fine young men you have at the altar with you!
Lovely Marian chasuble. I hope you mentioned in your homily that the feast commemorates the Christian victory at Lepanto against the forces of Islam (7 October 1571) and another victory in Hungary against the Ottoman Turks in 1716.Vivat Hispania!Domino Gloria!Don John of AustriaHas set his people free! The threat from Islam is still there, but the main enemies of Christendom are internal.
Sacristans globally might be cringing at the sight of you, Fr, lounging in that chasuble. Never ending battle to keep the wrinkles, creases, marks and pulls to a minimum for as long as possible. Trying to reattach decorations can be its own dumpster fire depending on what was damaged and how badly when they were pulled off.
Thank you for your vocation Father. May you have a magnificent reward in heaven. Not that I thinking about you already moving in up there.
