AS YOU KNOW I SUFFER FROM PTSRS: POST TRAUMATIC STRESS RAT SYNDROME

I have convinced myself that there are no more rats living in my rectory or its walls and I do now sleep soundly at night. But I still suffer from Post Traumatic Rat Stress Syndrome because of it. Over 12 years, we have killed at least 10 large rats in my rectory!!!!! This does not help my PTSRS!!!!!!!

Father, leave some peanut butter on crackers and a few bits of meat on the floor overnight. Do that periodically. If the food is gone by the time you awaken, then you have rodents. I wouldn't worry about attracting rodents with the food. If rodents lurk about, then they are there. You could keep traps set, but you may not wish to have traps scattered about. Perhaps every couple of weeks, use some food as bait for a couple of nights to determine whether rats are present.

Rats often enter a residence via the gas pipe connection behind a stove. Check that connection to determine whether rats have room to squeeze between the gas pipe and wall.

A FLIR camera will detect the presence of rodents in walls.

Father, saint Paul also suffered this plague during his work for Christ...

Take it as a SAINT...

Here is a wonderful thing for me to offer...seriously, can anybody, anybody imagine living in such fashion?

Father McDonald, don't watch the following. Not unless you wish to sleep tonight.

Perhaps the rectory needs a feline? Could even name him Leo.

If the Nuns were afraid because they thought there were rats in the convent, some would surely blame it on their gender....Hmmmm....(Perhaps, it's time to "man up".)
(Or get Gene to bring in his AR-15 and "blow 'em away...)

Father, we live out in the country and have plenty of critters....BUT....NOT in our home. Our cats are excellent pest control and have NOT had one rodent in our home since we moved in February, 2015. Our landlord, who lived in the home prior, had "intruders." Of course, when our cats make a kill, they like to leave it by the door, or on the front stoop, to show us! That's how we found out pooper-scoopers have multiple purposes! Our dogs aren't bad rodent killers either! Thanks to our pets, we don't have "pet" rodents. Yuck!!

gob,

You're right, Father needs to stop reacting like a woman. But he needs his own rifle.

Cats are awesome. You could also get a .22 pistol/revolver. build a back stop of old carpet and set out a bowl of food and wait. Or a blow gun. They are easy to make and loads of fun, too.

forgot to add the pistol style crossbow. Wife loves hers. Easy to shoot and cheap, can get one for about $30. Trickier than a .22 to shoot well, however.
