Update from Fox: Pope Francis was hospitalized after having difficulty breathing recently and tests revealed a respiratory infection, a Vatican spokesman said.
"The tests showed a respiratory infection (COVID-19 infection excluded) that will require some days of medical therapy," Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said on Wednesday.
UPDATE! Papa Francesco he is hospitalized at the Gemelli Polyclinic after feeling unwell in the early afternoon. According to health sources, it would be one atrial fibrillation which doctors are now monitoring, resulting from respiratory distress. The Holy Father arrived at the hospital in an ambulance and was transferred to the cardiology department.
