But, with that asked, why do some veil the chalice like I have done for the past 18 years or so? Because the General Instruction of the Normative Lex Orandi Roman Missal states in GIRM 80C, "The Chalice is to be veiled..." How many are disobedient to the GIRM in this and so many other cases? Too many to highlight here!

But Fr, it's just too much bother, next thing you know you'll want lace albs and maniples. Personally I have not seen a veil in 30 years in my cluster of churches
