Last week we received from the Bishop’s office the instruction to strike “one” from God in the Collect beginning on Ash Wednesday.
Thus in the presence of said Bishop on Ash Wednesday, I prayed “One” God at the Collect. I must have blacked out!

As I though about how to obscure the word, I though that White Out would get messy after using it on page after page after page.
Then there are those very small adhesive strips made for covering errors in stencils, but 500 of those would make the missal too think, often in the same place.
I opted for on black line drawn through each "one."

Why the change? And is it "overregulation" of the liturgy?
now I can sleep better at nights.
