Shortly after this, she had a double mastectomy and then a set of surgeries to try to construct a penis. At the end of this process “Nathan”, as he then was, reacted badly to the results. His expectations were not met. There was significant scarring from all the surgery and he was clearly deeply unhappy in his new body. The life that Nathan had clearly hoped for had not come about, and depression soon followed. So in September 2013, Verhelst was euthanised by the state. In his country euthanasia is legal and the relevant medical authorities in Belgium agreed that Verhelst could be euthanised due to “unbearable psychological suffering”.
A week before the end he (she) held a small party for some friends. Guests reportedly danced and laughed and raised glasses of champagne with the toast “To life”. A week later Verhelst made the journey to a university hospital in Brussels and was killed by a lethal injection. “I do not want to be a monster “, he (she) said just before he died.

Harry Miller is a man who has lived a life that might be described as blameless and even admirable. He’s a former police officer and the director of a company that employs 70 plus people in one of the poorer parts of England, invests in its staff and community and Miller has raised large sums of money for people who really need it in very poor parts of Nepal.
Miller was spoken to for 34 minutes by police over a “hate incident” because on his Twitter account he had stated that “trans women are not women” and he questioned the school of thought that says someone born male who “identifies” as a female must be treated in exactly the same way as a person with a female body. A young police officer warned Miller he might find himself in trouble with his company - unaware that Miller actually owns the firm.........the young cop spoke of “non crime hate incidents” and spoke of the complainant as “the victim” which Miller objected to.....this same young police officer actually told Miller that even though technically no crime was committed, a “hate incident” would still be recorded, and he (the young cop) wanted to check Miller’s thinking ( !!! ) and went on to explain to Miller that : “Sometimes, a woman’s brain grows a man’s body in the womb and that is what transgender is.”
I think Miller did end up in court over liking, not actually writing, just liking a poem/limerick that the complainant and “victim” had regarded as hateful and transphobic....

2 of the UK’s National Health System - NHS - hospitals in England have now launched the UK’s first language guidelines “supporting trans and non-binary birthing people”.
Mothers are to be referred to as “birthing parent”.
There will be no more breast milk, the new accepted term must be “human milk”.
A father is now called a “co-parent” or “second biological parent”.
Words such as maternal or maternity must be avoided; so maternal consent is now “informed consent”, maternity care is now “perinatal care” and the word breastfeeding must be replaced with “chestfeeding”.
The above madness is not something even a majority of trans people, as opposed to radical trans activists, want or demand. This whole initiative is ridiculous and I can’t understand why 99.9% plus of British people have to be insulted so as not to offend a TINY number of radical trans/LGBT ACTIVISTS?!

Pubertal and post-pubertal teens and young adults, the vast majority of whom are females who had no childhood history of ever having met the criteria for Gender Dysphoria, suddenly "out of the blue" declared themselves to be gender dysphoric. This was preceded by increased social media involvement where they learned about the joys of being transgender and how to present as such to family, psychiatrists and therapists and others. Another finding was that they often "came out" with buddies, were very hostile toward family, often accusing them of being "transphobic"! Similar data was collected not only from families (mostly mothers) but also from women who had de-transitioned after they recognized that living as a member of the opposite sex was not the solution to their very serious pre-existing mental health problems- but had in fact just added to them.

I know it is an unpopular notion in some quarters these days but facts actually do matter—real facts, not “alternative facts.” So, here are the actual facts about the NHS—these “gender inclusive” terms do not_replace_the previous terms but are_additional_terms for use in appropriate circumstances. Now, many may think this is silly enough, but let’s at least demarcate the zone of silliness accurately:

I was not “downplaying” anything. Please explain how correcting a misstatement that the new language_replaces_the previous language, when in fact it_supplements_it, is “downplaying” the matter? One problem with the new terms is that I have a hard time keeping up with all the changes and permutations. I suspect I am getting too old for this “brave new world,” although I do try to do my best.

Regardless of that, I wonder how this will work in practice for an employee in these hospitals? How would a nurse in one of these hospitals know which patients and clients require breast milk to be called human milk; and how to determine which parent does not want to be referred to as a mother or father but referred to as co-parent, birthing parent or second biological parent? How would any doctor or nurse or any employee at one of these hospitals know which patients have problems with a maternity clinic being called a maternity clinic and breastfeeding as breastfeeding - and insists on the use of the words or terms perinatal clinic or chestfeeding instead?
Also, can the use of these new inclusive words and terms be compelled? What if any doctor or nurse has personal objections and refuses to make use of such words and terms as co-parent, human milk and chestfeeding etc? What happens then?

Does a child then have her arms and legs amputated because prosthesis work better, especially legs that enable a person to run and walk much faster than with God-given legs? If a child can compete and win over other competitors with artificial legs, why not, especially if a man can say he’s a woman and win in female athletics?

I think it is revealing that with the sort of person who will call you a bigot ( for having problems with, for example, “trans women”/ biological males winning women’s weight lifting competitions, winning sports scholarships for women and or competing against biological females in contact sports etc) with that person you will almost always know with a near 100% certainty where he/she stands on a whole range of political, social and “culture war” issues.

Drinking my first coffee this morning I was informed on a TV news program that there is a new addition to the LGBTLMNOP phenomenon! There are people now identifying as "Fraysexual". A person can identify as fraysexual when he or she only experiences sexual attraction towards those they are NOT deeply connected with, and lose any sexual attraction they may have for another person as they get to know that person.
As it concerns the extremes that the Democrat Party supports, I continue to ask the question if the party itself should be condemned by the Catholic Church as the Church condemns the KKK and other groups that opposed the true God.

It is not as though some loud and radical - and for some reason influential - LGBT activists simply want mainstream society to be accepting of, and even wish the best for, confused “trans” teenagers, who interestingly also often suffer from autism, and a tiny minority of adult males who think they are female and like to dress in lady’s underwear etc .......but it is another thing altogether to then want to force everyone to use entirely new pronouns; or to alter every public bathroom; or to bring up all children with the belief that there is no difference between the sexes and that gender is a social construct.
The whole world is not mad yet. In 2018, the government in Hungary implemented a ban on “gender studies” in all higher education.

The situation in the UK is I believe worse than the USA.
Harry Miller is a man who has lived a life that might be described as blameless and even admirable. He’s a former police officer and the director of a company that employs 70 plus people in one of the poorer parts of England, invests in its staff and community and Miller has raised large sums of money for people who really need it in very poor parts of Nepal.
Miller was spoken to for 34 minutes by police over a “hate incident” because on his Twitter account he had stated that “trans women are not women” and he questioned the school of thought that says someone born male who “identifies” as a female must be treated in exactly the same way as a person with a female body. A young police officer warned Miller he might find himself in trouble with his company - unaware that Miller actually owns the firm.........the young cop spoke of “non crime hate incidents” and spoke of the complainant as “the victim” which Miller objected to.....this same young police officer actually told Miller that even though technically no crime was committed, a “hate incident” would still be recorded, and he (the young cop) wanted to check Miller’s thinking ( !!! ) and went on to explain to Miller that : “Sometimes, a woman’s brain grows a man’s body in the womb and that is what transgender is.”
I think Miller did end up in court over liking, not actually writing, just liking a poem/limerick that the complainant and “victim” had regarded as hateful and transphobic....
Father, I don’t think things have reached the stage in the USA (yet) when the police could be knocking on your door to discuss, and warn you, re what you have written about the trans issue on your blog ??
Retweeting, liking etc the following limerick can, in England, result in a police enquiry and having the police interview you about “a non crime, hate incident” and having the police “check on your thinking” and explain to you what transgender really is:

Father Mc Donald you mentioned possibility of people choosing a prosthesis over their own limbs to gain an advantage in sports-a bionic person so to speak. There are perfectly healthy people "the transabled", who self-identify as disabled -paralyzed, missing a limb, blind etc. are convinced that they were intended to be disabled. Some have gone so far as to have limbs amputated, eyes blinded or have done this to themselves! Then there are the people, "transspecies" who feel they were born into the wrong species, that they are dogs, cats, deer etc.-that they can actually feel their tails, ears, antlers, fur etc. even though other people cannot see those. They behave like the animals they declare themselves to be. Some wear tails, antlers etc. to show who they actually are! Some people, "otherkin", self-identify as mythical creatures such as elves, dragons etc. and some have spent a small fortune on surgery to try to look like the creature!
2 of the UK’s National Health System - NHS - hospitals in England have now launched the UK’s first language guidelines “supporting trans and non-binary birthing people”.
Mothers are to be referred to as “birthing parent”.
There will be no more breast milk, the new accepted term must be “human milk”.
A father is now called a “co-parent” or “second biological parent”.
Words such as maternal or maternity must be avoided; so maternal consent is now “informed consent”, maternity care is now “perinatal care” and the word breastfeeding must be replaced with “chestfeeding”.
The above madness is not something even a majority of trans people, as opposed to radical trans activists, want or demand. This whole initiative is ridiculous and I can’t understand why 99.9% plus of British people have to be insulted so as not to offend a TINY number of radical trans/LGBT ACTIVISTS?!

Prior to 2010, Gender Dysphoria-known as Gender Identity Disorder began in childhood and the ratio of gender non-conforming children (children who preferred toys and activities, clothing stereotypically associated with the opposite gender) and playing with children of the opposite sex or even that wanted to be members of the opposite sex, was a minimum of 6:1, boys to girls. And the vast majority of them desisted from this non-conformity when natural puberty hit if not socially affirmed, encouraged to proceed to medical transition. Since 2010, a new phenomenon, Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria (ROGD)-a name coined by the physician researcher, Lisa Littman, MD, MPH who was the first to write about it- has emerged. Pubertal and post-pubertal teens and young adults, the vast majority of whom are females who had no childhood history of ever having met the criteria for Gender Dysphoria, suddenly "out of the blue" declared themselves to be gender dysphoric. This was preceded by increased social media involvement where they learned about the joys of being transgender and how to present as such to family, psychiatrists and therapists and others. Another finding was that they often "came out" with buddies, were very hostile toward family, often accusing them of being "transphobic"! Similar data was collected not only from families (mostly mothers) but also from women who had de-transitioned after they recognized that living as a member of the opposite sex was not the solution to their very serious pre-existing mental health problems- but had in fact just added to them.
Since the Equality Act has not yet been passed by the Senate, there is still time to contact your senators to urge them to vote no to this abominable Bill. Pray for deliverance from the avalanche of evil being planned for us!

I then read about a half dozen articles about these new inclusive language guidelines, in 2 British NHS hospitals, including coverage by the Wokish BBC and Pinknews.
It seems both silly and dishonest to me for you to attempt to play down what is actually happening here.

Are the following real facts or alternative facts ?
- Trans women/biological males have won women’s weight lifting competitions.

- Trans women/biological males have competed in contact sports with biological females, and on occasion, as a result of this, biological females have been physically injured.
- Trans women/biological males have incarcerated in women’s jails and prisons in the UK and the USA and as a result a number of female inmates have been sexually assaulted by some of these trans women/biological males.
Finally, I believe it is a fact, not an “alternative fact” (and a fact which indicates how truly crazy things have become) that many progressive, leftist feminists are now labelled TERFs (Trans-exclusionary radical feminist) simply because they either disagree with the assertion that “trans women are women” and or they feel it best to exclude trans women from a number of women’s spaces - eg women’s sports, women’s prisons and sexual assault counselling services etc. And some extreme trans accepting feminists and radical transsexual activists desire to vilify and kick such “TERFs” out of the church of feminism, including a giant of radical feminism like Germaine Greer.
If I have a male neighbour who chooses to identify as a women (or even identify as a wolf or a goat or a dragon, see OTHERKIN) it is one thing for me, or others, to accept he has the freedom to identify as anything he wishes BUT it is another thing all together to want to demand that others accept it as a reality that he actually is a real woman, or a real wolf or goat, or a real dragon.
In seeking to understand how society in the USA has reached the stage it has with significant numbers of people either accepting - or too intimidated to speak out against - the ideology of radical LGBT activists, I am half way through “Cynical Theories” by Helen Pluckrose and James Lindsay. I have today read chapter 4 - Queer Theory, Freedom from the Normal.
This chapter starts thus:
“Queer Theory is about liberation from the normal, especially where it comes to norms of gender and sexuality. This is because it regards the very existence of categories of sex, gender, and sexuality to be oppressive. Because Queer Theory derives directly from postmodernism, it is radically sceptical that these categories are based in any biological reality. Instead, it sees them quite artificially - wholly as a product of how we talk about these issues. It thus ignores biology nearly completely (or places it way downstream of socialisation) and focuses upon them as social constructions perpetuated in language. This does little to encourage its accessibility with most people who rightly see it as being quite mad.....(. - for example, it is madness to claim that heterosexuality is a social construct and to deny or at least totally neglect the reality that humans are a sexually reproducing species....)
Queer Theory presumes that oppression follows from categorisation, which arises every time language constructs a sense of what is “normal” by producing and maintaining rigid categories of sex (male and female) , gender (masculine and feminine) , and sexuality (straight, gay, bisexual and so on) and “scripting” people into them. I was not “downplaying” anything. Please explain how correcting a misstatement that the new language_replaces_the previous language, when in fact it_supplements_it, is “downplaying” the matter? Indeed, please explain how such misstatements are not themselves as great a corruption of language and conversation as the use of the new terms you criticize?
One problem with the new terms is that I have a hard time keeping up with all the changes and permutations. I suspect I am getting too old for this “brave new world,” although I do try to do my best.
I should add that although you accuse me of being “dishonest,” isn’t this is an example of projection by someone who seems to have made a dishonest claim himself/herself? The basic problem is that making dubious claims hurts the credibility of the person making the claim and the cause he or she seeks to advance—at least it does for anyone who is trying to be fair-minded and objective in this “post-truth” world, although I concede it likely bolsters the credibility and reputation of the one making the claim among others inhabiting the same narrative bubble. Hence Trump—but I digress (not).

Perhaps the person you are accusing of being dishonest simply repeated here what he or she heard from another, who exaggerated to a degree re these insane new inclusive language guidelines in several English hospitals?
Regardless of that, I wonder how this will work in practice for an employee in these hospitals? How would a nurse in one of these hospitals know which patients and clients require breast milk to be called human milk; and how to determine which parent does not want to be referred to as a mother or father but referred to as co-parent, birthing parent or second biological parent? How would any doctor or nurse or any employee at one of these hospitals know which patients have problems with a maternity clinic being called a maternity clinic and breastfeeding as breastfeeding - and insists on the use of the words or terms perinatal clinic or chestfeeding instead?
Also, can the use of these new inclusive words and terms be compelled? What if any doctor or nurse has personal objections and refuses to make use of such words and terms as co-parent, human milk and chestfeeding etc? What happens then?

So, repeating falsehoods is okay provided one doesn’t originate the falsehood? This is why we are in so much trouble in this country. Whatever happened to the notion of truth? Has the Father of Lies so poisoned us that we no longer care? God help us!
