BEFORE THE 1970 ROMAN MISSAL, EXQUISITELY DUMBED DOWN, WE HAD THE TLM BEING DUMBED DOWN AND THE LAVISH USE OF THE CHURCH’S “SIGN LANGUAGE” EXPUNGED!

This tells you how the TLM was being dumbed down prior to the truly dumb 1970 Roman Missal. With most of the Church’s liturgical sign language expunged, those poor Catholics who couldn’t hear verbally could no longer see the sign language to hear either. Sad, so very, very sad, most sad, that is.

Why in the name of God and all that is holy, would there be a committee of liturgical theologians hell-bent on destroying the Ancient Roman Rite and its language, Latin, Greek and sign language. It makes no sense whatsoever, except these people must have been sadomasochistic or simply “Mass-o-chists”!

They must have been OCD in reverse, compulsive non repeaters:

Interesting.

What about the changes by the Pian liturgical commission to the Roman Breviary before Vatican II?

Besides the new Pian Latin translation of the Psalter (actually the Bea Psalter, because it was prepared under the direction of Jesuit then-Msgr. Bea), to maintain the recitation of the complete Psalter over a period of one week (later dropped to a four week schedule of most psalms and verses with the post-Vatican II Liturgia Horarum), "extraneous" prayers were removed (such as those before and after each hour), the lessons at Matins were reduced in number and length (the latter by abridging a number of triple lessons into one).
