HOLY TUESDAY’S CHRISM MASS AT SAVANNAH’S CATHEDRAL BASILICA

A blast from the past. Fr. Godfred, from Ghana and Fr. Dawid, from Poland were my parochial vicars at St. Joseph Church in Macon from 2012 to 2015 I think. I’m in the center and from Italy. Very international!

These are some of my former parishioners from Saint Anne in Richmond Hill, following the Chrism Mass:

And some random photos, blessing of the oils, etc:

Used to spend a lot of time in the Macon area. I really enjoyed it. I also got to spend time in Savannah while working. If I was a parishioner from St Joseph I would be visiting you on holy days and feasts. You'd be tired of seeing me!

Fr.

Your veteran parochials are a solid lot. Both Father Godfred and Fr. Dawid are outstanding priests and have been a great blessing to our diocese.

Without denying credit to God or these fine priests, I cannot help but think that you had something to do with these two outstanding vocations too.

Fr McDonald,

I echo Jerome’s sentiments. You are a people person!

Sophia here: I am so happy to see these photos. I knew I could count on you to post photos of the event, including close ups of you with some stellar priests! What a treat! Thank you! Of course I will be passing this entry on not only to fellow parishioners but also to Fr. Cerrone!

A Holy Triduum and a glorious Easter to everyone who reads this blog!
