THE MYSTERY (NOT AS IN SACRAMENT) WIDENS! DID THE HOLY FATHER STRIKE THE WRONG WOMAN?

The chatter on the internet and on closer inspection of the events of the historic night of New Year's Eve, indicate that the Holy Father struck the wrong person.

It is the woman next to the Asian woman (to her left) who initially grabbed the pope and pulled His Holiness back toward the Asian woman who then grasped the pope's hand.

This woman, wearing the thing around her neck and with iPhone in other hand, has big hands that are reddish looking. It all happens so quickly and then the security guard's hand comes into the mix too.

I think there is a conspiracy at foot! Do you see what the twitter universe is proclaiming:

But what annoys me more than anything is Vatican New's interpretation of the event:

The apology Pope Francis offered was in connection with a moment from his visit to the Nativity scene in St. Peter’s Square on Tuesday evening.

As he greeted the faithful, a woman tugged his arm, causing a shooting pain to which the Pope reacted with an impatient gesture to free himself from her grip.

Why can't they just say the Holy Father was attacked by one or two of the faithful and he swatted at the pilgrim who startled him as a sort of reflex of self-defense? Wouldn't that be an honest appraisal of the fact? Patience has nothing to do with this event!

Thank you for the clarification, Father, but no doubt the Asian lady being held up to worldwide ridicule, and wrongfully, finds this more annoying than spin doctor blurbs. I hope she comes out of this with minimal harm, as being shamed by millions can be deadly.

Wow...I'm glad Jesus didn't slap the crap out of the women who touched Him in the crowd.
