It isn't clear if Nick Sandman was on board as he attended this year's march also. Only the driver of the car was killed and driving the wrong way. A few on the bus were injured.

That posted pic with your article was the first time I noted the fatality vehicle, and a shame the driver died. The passenger compartment appears intact and the airbag deployed, and the steering wheel not greatly extended into the driver area. All causes me to wonder if they had on their seatbelt.
Of course, simply the shock of impact can still be fatal. I was in a memorable impact once where the tupperware containers in my lunchbox exploded, as did the salad dressing cup stuck on lid explode inside the main container...giving some idea what impact g-forces can do to brain.
