A friend sent me this photo. He wrote that Bishop Kevin Boland, our 88 year old retired bishop, couldn’t stop commenting on the number of servers and people present for a daily Mass for First Friday at my former parish of Saint Anne’s in Richmond Hill. He remarked it was the most servers he celebrated with, since his episcopal ordination! He thanked the parish and commented on how this reflects highly and demonstrates the vibrancy and love we have for the Eucharist.
Well, here is one of those “altar boys” at his 1995 episcopal ordination at our Cathedral…
