CONFUSION REIGNS IN THE CHURCH AND NOW EVEN THE PROGRESSIVE PRESS IS POINTING IT OUT AND ALL THIS CONFUSION IS COMING FROM THE HIGHEST REALMS OF ROME…

 

These two articles, the first from the National Catholic Reporter and the second from Crux, are linked together by one common word—CONFUSION—in the official statements and policies of the current pontificate. The buck, so to speak, stops at the top..

This confusion is mostly political and concerns wrong-headed diplomacy—but confused moral teachings are at fault too, in Rome:

Ukraine's foreign minister: Vatican must 'call a spade a spade' when speaking on Russia

EXCERPT:

But, he cautioned, the Vatican must avoid any confusion or misunderstandings on where they stand on Russia. 

Be it the Holy See or any other country, he said that nations cannot continue to insist on the concept of the necessity of peace among the brotherhood between Russians, Ukrainians and Belarusians. 

"We are not brothers," he said. "If Russia continues to exist to insist on the concept of brotherhood, it's the Cain versus Abel kind of brotherhood. They [Russia] came to kill to rape and to violate all the laws of God on the land of Ukraine."

This confusion because it strikes at the heart of Catholic moral teachings, at solemnly defined teachings at that, is nothing short of a scandal and that a lay theologian has the guts to say it speaks volumes. Warning, the truth presented by this lay theologian might be difficult for sensitive eyes and ears:
