YET ANOTHER SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIOR BITES THE DUST, THIS TIME A BISHOP…

The true Our Lady of the Amazon

READ THE PILLAR ARTICLE HERE ABOUT BISHOP EMMANUEL LAFONT, A KEY PLAYER IN THE PACHAMAMMA SCANDAL

Yes it is Christmas, and scandal upon scandal reminds us of Adam and Eve and their Original Sin of Pride, thinking they can be God and like God overturn every injustice. Little do we know that our own injustices will be overturned too, by the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the God-Child made Man.

Only Jesus, not social work alone or anything we do, can save us from the fires of hell. If there is no hell, there is no need for Jesus. God knows there is a hell and God knows we need to be saved from its fires. Only God can do that!

There is definitely the Original Sin of pride that social justice warriors exhibit, the Jansenism of a certain kind that seeks social justice perfection in everyone else, but is blind to it in their own lives because they believe their social work is perfect. NOT!

O HAPPY FAULT, O NECESSARY SIN OF ADAM WHICH GAINED FOR US SO GREAT A SAVIOR. (CHRISTMAS AND EASTER ARE INTIMATELY LINKED)

Father McDonald, based upon your headline, commentary, as well as photos, I had thought The Pillar article that you had linked had focused big-time attention upon Bishop Emmanuel Lafont's "key" role in the supposed "Pachamama Scandal."

However, only in passing did The Pillar article state that "In 2019, Lafont participated in the Vatican’s Synod of Bishops for the Pan-Amazon Region..."

Beginning with Pope John Paul II's reign, reports of Bishop Emmanuel Lafont's terrible activities had been reported...but Bishop Lafont had remained in place.

The Pillar noted:

-- Bishop Lafont had been named Bishop of Cayenne in 2004 by Pope John Paul II.

-- Claims of misconduct against Bishop Lafont had accumulated beginning with his 2004 arrival in French Guiana.

-- In 2008, five priests wrote a letter to the Vatican’s apostolic delegation to the Antilles complaining about the financial, pastoral, and sexual practices of Bishop Lafont.

-- Emeritus Bishop Jean Bonfils of Nice had been appointed to investigate the allegations.

-- Bonfils said he was surprised to be asked to conduct the investigation, as he was Bishop Lafont's close friend.

-- The investigation in question did not lead to a sanction against Bishop Lafont.

Father McDonald, in light of the above disturbing information, I am surprised that you focused heavily upon Bishop Lamont and the supposed "Pachamama scandal"...which is not a "scandal," according to the Apostolic See.

But I respect the fact that this is your blog.

Father McDonald, peace and good health to you.

The link from the Pillar is the emphasis. He was a key player in the pachamma scandal is a sidebar but playing around with pagan symbols that in no way have been Christianized never bodes well. It breaks the first and second Commandments.

Father McDonald, is there a phone number to speak with you, or leave a message?

Thank you.

Even on the most secular level, the Holy Father is not getting the sort of objective feedback he needs before he makes decisions or acts. These blindspots are amplified when the Pope acts on suggestions from people like Bishop Lafont. Without these crosschecks he repeatedly walks blindly into a buzz saw. That has got to be another example of clericalism in that a sane man would have broken his own foot off on the backside of people like Mr. McCarrick and Bishop Lafont years ago not only for the personal embarrassment but for for diminishing the Chair Peter.

Father McDonald, thank you for your reply.

You and I disagree about the...to me: Our Lady of the Amazon ceremony/statues. To you: Pachamama statues.

But I agree with you that Bishop Lafont's link to the supposed "Pachamama scandal" is a sidebar issue.

Unfortunately, the anti-Pope Francis folks have weaponize Bishop Lafont to attack and attempt to discredit His Holiness. Said folks have pretended that Bishop Lafont is a "partner in crime" with Pope Francis"...and said folks have played up the "Pachamama" angle in big-time fashion.

The above is mind-boggling as, again, The Pillar noted that"

IS MIND-BOGGLING Pillar noted:

Bishop Lafont had been named Bishop of Cayenne in 2004 by Pope John Paul II. Claims of misconduct against Bishop Lafont had accumulated beginning in 2004 A.D. in French Guiana.

In 2008 A.D., five priests had written to the Vatican’s apostolic delegation in the Antilles to report financial, pastoral, and sexual practices of Bishop Lafont.

Emeritus Bishop Jean Bonfils of Nice, Bishop Lafont's close friend, had been appointed to investigate Bishop Lafont.

Said investigation did not lead to a sanction against Bishop Lafont.

But it is all Pope Francis' fault. Sure.

Mark, it isn’t a matter of disagreement, but of truth. The pagan idol, Pachamma, has never been Christianized or christened as Our Lady of the Amazon, NEVER. Could it be someda? Yes. Has.it, NO. It remains to this day a pagan goddess similar to “Mother Nature.”

Mark Thomas,

Since you like doing research, please find out if he laicized the priests who participated in a cocaine fueled, gay sex orgy at the Vatican

I would like to challenge Mark Thomas to find any venerated images of Mary in our Church's history that depict her naked.

Father McDonald, I appreciate your response. I believe that it it is a matter of disagreement. In regard to the Vatican Gardens Ceremony/Our Lady of the Amazon statues: The truth is that the Vicar of Christ rejected any connection to idolatry/paganism.

Anyway, as you noted, in regard to the unfortunate demise of Bishop Lafont, the above is just a side issue.

Not surprisingly, the Pope Francis-haters have weaponized Bishop Lafont against His Holiness. It is all pinned on Pope Francis...despite the fact that:

In 2004 A.D., Pope Saint John Paul II appoint Father Lafont as Bishop...claims of misconduct had surfaced then against Bishop Lafont...in 2008 A.D., five priests had written to the Vatican’s apostolic delegation in the Antilles to report financial, pastoral, and sexual practices of Bishop Lafont...Emeritus Bishop Jean Bonfils of Nice, Bishop Lafont's close friend, investigated Bishop Lafont. Bishop Lafont was not sanctioned.

Bishop Lafont had waltzed his way through the reigns of Popes Saint John Paul II.

================================================================================

Anyway, Father McDonald, despite our disagreement about the statues, I wish you a Blessed Christmas!

Thank you for your long, holy service, to the True Church.

Father McDonald, peace to you...peace to your mother, father, as well as all your family who have fallen asleep in the Lord.

Peace to everybody here, and throughout the world!

Pax.

Mark Thomas,

Why haven’t you addressed my comment? Is it because it would undercut your silly narrative?

Jerome Merwick,

I suggest a new name for the Pachman Mama: Our Lady of Vile Blasphmey.

Jerome Merwick said...

I mean "blasphemy".

Bad muscle memory in my fingers.

@Jerome: while not venerated, there are images of Mary, breasts exposed, by Italian masters showing in preparation to nurse Our Lord and to show the milk for mankind. I can’t recall, off hand, the artist as I am in a semi-dazed condition caused by drugs to treat a bad cold. I can rejoin the search if you need it later.

For the same reason I think Blasphmey is an island in the channel near Friesland. Maybe not.

Jerome Merwick,

No worries! Notice who has abandoned this thread?

Mark Thomas,

We are waiting for you to directly respond to our comments. No list of obsequious non sequiturs please

There's a big difference between stark naked and preparing to breast feed.

Mary is the new Eve. I don't think that meant she walked around...well, you get my meaning.

Jerome Merwick,

True! Notice that “Dump and Run” has fled this thread because he is incapable of answering very basic points? But he will run to another and dump some more bilge until he is challenged. Kind of a strange modus operandi
