NO MATTER OUR POLITICAL AFFILIATION, SOME WILL ALWAYS MAKE THEIR POLITICAL AFFILIATION THEIR FALSE IDOL, THEIR PACAMAMA

This is interesting  concerning democrats and republicans. Republican Catholics tend to have a blind spot or heterodox beliefs concerning the Church’s moral teachings on social justice issues.

Democrats tend to buy into the culture of death by supporting abortion on demand and even in its most gruesome forms to include euthanizing a born unwanted baby either by criminal neglect or active euthanasia. They also tend to believe in euthanasia for troublesome elderly people and others with physical and psychological disorders and don’t mind mutilating a child who thinks he/she is of the opposite sex or beyond binary descriptions.

For both, their true religions (which is a false religion and a true idol) is their political affiliation. Sad, no?

One of the greatest and most dangerous "true idols" in our culture today is that of superficiality.

Included among these idol worshippers are those who seek simple solutions to complex issues, those who reduce people with whom they disagree to the level of "evil" people or "heretics" or Catholics-In-Name-Only. They tend to see themselves as patriots, while those who do not share their values are commies or pinkos or socialists.

Beware the man with the simplistic solution to a complex problem.

And other epitaphs like Isalmaphobic, homophobic, xenophobic, racists, bigots, Neanderthals, and the like. Beware of the party with simplistic name calling to complex moral compromises.

An epitaph is a short text honoring a deceased person.

An epithet is an adjective or descriptive phrase expressing a quality characteristic of the person or thing mentioned.

This news is for Father K:

The activities of the Biden administration this past Friday featured two remarkable and profoundly contradictory events.

In Rome, President Joe Biden met with Pope Francis. In Washington, his Justice Department filed a brief with the Supreme Court arguing there is a "right" to kill an unborn baby with a beating heart.

What transpired in Washington that day was in reaction to what happened in Texas this spring.

On May 19, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed Senate Bill 8, the "Texas Heartbeat Act." This law declared that "a physician may not knowingly perform or induce an abortion on a pregnant woman if the physician detected a fetal heartbeat for the unborn child ... or failed to perform a test to detect a fetal heartbeat."

You really know how to vote, don't you Father K!!!

Father K must be very, very sad. In Virginia, an African American was elected LT. Gov. and a Hispanic was elected AG and his favorite "news" sources, CNN and MSNBC, accused Virginians of being "racist" while their party had an old White guy running for governor. LOL

I am not concerned with how "liberal" or "conservative" any given pope is. I am far more concerned about how faithful and zealous he is in guarding the deposit of faith and the patrimony of our Traditions.

I would also add that I am very nervous when any leader conflates criticism of his policies, statements and behaviors with the institution he represents.

This is what Pope Francis should be concerned about:

Joe Biden’s administration just gave $5 million taxpayer dollars to a United Nations program that provides deadly abortion drugs and devices to women across the world.
