This has the look of a late 80's / early 90's interpretation of what was considered to be the ideal. Whether one agrees with it or not, the leadership/liturgical consultant et al were likely considering the spirit of the era, perceived accessibility and inclusivity and maximizing seating.
My first impression is that the CHOIR is front and center there and the altar only secondary. It reminds me of a modern version of a typical Protestant denomination which isn't big on liturgy but rather on singing.
I went to the parish website and they do not show any photos of the original sanctuary. I guess they do not want us to be even more enraged at their wanton destruction of this Church. From the buzzwords, you can tell this is a "progressive" parish, one to be avoided at all costs.
The ordinary, Archbishop Vigneron, is a huge disappointment. I thought he was the real deal at one time and have been horrified about his jihad against Father Perrone, a devout and very orthodox priest

They are prepping for the Putt Putt course and water slide.

It looks like Father Richard Vosko has reared his ugly head again at Sacred Heart Church in Dearborn, Michigan.
I would not be welcome there because I only go to Catholic Churches where Holy Communion on the tongue. Of course my money is equally unwelcome
That’s just plain gross.
I can appreciate asymmetry in smaller degrees. This one just makes me nervous!
Horrible, absolutely horrible.

Romulus Augustus here, I can't believe this still happens to beautiful churches and turn them into NON-Roman Catholic COLD airplane hangers.

Bizarre...30327 is not as conservative as most on this blog but even I think the picture has gone too far. Tasteless!
