Okay, I will admit it, I use to encourage lavish floral decorations and use of fabric for major church feasts. But all along, I knew that things were out of control and the decorations often became the focal point distracting from that which was important and often hiding it.
On Pentecost Sunday, my former parish in Augusta, the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, celebrated Pentecost Sunday with a Traditional Latin Mass. But what struck me the most was the simplicity of decorations tastefully executed. The theatrical red lighting behind the altar is questionable though:

Such a wonderful sight seems like the 1950's all over again awwwwwwh! Yes Father, not only you but so many churches block the entire free standing Novus Ordo altar with every flower they can think of and yes it totally distracts from what is happening at the altar of sacrifice. One easy remedy Father and you know what that is push your free standing altar to the back and just have two bouquets of flower like the one in the picture.
So on Dr. Taylor Marshall show today, the cardinal archbishop of Cologne Germany has appointed a woman to train priests in priestly formation, the church in Germany is sick and needs help fast.

But can’t you see that what St Paul (inspired by the Holy Spirit) wrote in his letters to Timothy, in the New Testament, simply MUST be overruled by the dictates of our wonderful, Woke, politically correct modern era ?
Come on, man, can’t you both see and accept that?!
