WESTSIDE STORY REMAKE BY STEVEN SPIELBERG LOOKS LIKE A WINNER WITH CATHOLICISM FEATURING PROMINENTLY

Brings back a lot of memories, many of the scenes amazingly like unto the original movie, including angles.

Never saw the original Broadway show, but much preferred its soundtrack and singers compared to the movie version. However, the movie is all I have ever actually seen.

I hope they do not pollute the story with modern lack of morals such as adding bedroom scenes.

Or prominently.

Remakes of classics always disappoint me. I am not sure why producers do it. Would they remake Gone With the Wind? But Spielberg might pull it off.

This just seems like one more indicator of the complete lack of imagination and new ideas so prevalent in the film industry today. Remakes, sequels, prequels, remaking non-musicals as musicals, etc.. One gets the feeling that the people running the studios think we're all idiots or else we're all 12 years old--wait! I figure it out! They just understand that nobody reads any more, thus the capacity to think critically is declining and declining fast!

So THAT explains all the DC and Marvel "movies".

West Side Story in 2021 will most likely find the Jets and the Sharks making obscene dance moves to "hip hop" beats. I'm snoozing already.

Father McDonald,

If Spielberg remade gone with the wind, the O'Hara's would be Black and the field hands White
