CNN says the sand is so dark because each footprint is loaded with enough new variant coronavirus to kill everyone in the nation.

Fauci says if everyone just wears shoes to the beach for two weeks, we can stop this surge. Well, maybe two pairs of shoes.

Homemade shoes give you no protection.

Fauci also was quoted in saying that those who speak sacrilege can go down to that border teeming with infected unauthorized migrants that are not his concern, so that he can continue undistracted in giving advice on safe sex and safe religious practices in time of pandemic, and that this goes double for sacrilegious priests. And to wear those two pairs of shoes to protect yourself and protect your neighbor.

In all seriousness, I think we are going to look back on this prolongation of the panic with some embarrassment.

I am not saying the pandemic was not real. I am not saying it is still not a threat. What I am saying is that we have gone absolutely overboard in our "extra care" to not get infected. For medical groups, school districts and private businesses, it seems driven by the fear of lawsuits. For others, it seems driven by the compulsion to "virtue signal" their cooperative social concern. For others still, there seems to be a deep inner need to enforce rules and attempt to shame those who won't follow them.

In the long run, this whole thing--deadly as it was at times--has been a very expensive dress rehearsal to see just how much the American people are willing to submit to total control of their lives. Evidently, we have become VERY willing to do just that.

In other words, we've failed the test.

The worst is yet to come and the people we've "elected" can't wait to make it happen.

Experts say homemade shoes are effective in reducing virus transmission, even if they do not protect as well against pebble and rocks.

Fr. Allan J. McDonald said...

Yes, but one nail through the homemade shoes and you are dead with tetanus or a flesh eating bacteria.

My Hilton Head experience---the last time I was there---was when I was about 10 and waling on a trail from our condo to the beach, and a snake appeared out of the woods. Did not care to examine if poisonous, but I figure like gators, you get used to snakes in the neighborhood when living on the coast!

Predictably, the 4 highest states with infections are those with severest lockdowns and least herd immunity, the 5th state is FL which is a vacation destination for the other 4 states, where we likely have all the spring-breakers who passed it among selves and took it home with t-shirts reading, "I WENT TO FLORIDA AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS LOUSY VIRUS....and maybe an STD, still waiting on THAT test."

While my (masked) town which reopened last June now had 5 whole cases for the entire last week, seven whole cases in the (maskless) county, including the masked town numbers.

We HAD to reopen or starve, and got immunity the old fashioned way. Now we will be bailing all the stay-at-homes with our tax dollars.

Kalifornia, New Yawk are the worst. Now which party runs those states? The abortion party which loves killing the innocent!
