WELL, IT’s NOT HALLOWEEN BUT WE CAN’T HAVE THAT EVERDAY

We have just completed the most wonderful time of the year, the Halloween Season. Now we are in the Thanksgiving season, a bit of a downer after the most wonderful time of the year.😕

Bee here:

By the looks of some stores on Nov. 1st (even grocery stores) it is already the "Holiday Season". You know, the holiday that uses the evergreen tree and red and green decorations but whose name cannot be said out loud. When I went for groceries on Nov. 1st, Halloween decorations and candies were piled in baskets for removal and the shelves already were loaded "holiday" decorations.

I actually thought to myself that Thanksgiving will just be a speed bump on the way to the "holidays."

Also, I have gotten sales flyers in the mail that announce "pre-Black Friday" sales for this weekend.

I'm already tired, and it hasn't even started.

God bless.

The relentless commercialization — the “buy-spend-buy more-spend more-shop more” drumbeat — is more offensive to the spirit of Christmas than whether the Starbucks cups say “Christmas” or whatever damned thing Fox comes up with this year.

I'm thinking that some may soon find the term "Black-Friday" offensive.
