An eight foot alligator 🐊 in Bluffton, SC, the community before Hilton Head Island, stole a young man’s iPhone and as he went back in the water, took a photograph of his victim standing on the bank of the lagoon watching the thief escape, a photographer alligator!!!!
Eventually the alligator let the iPhone go, the guy scared the alligator away and retrieved his phone. He discovered a total of four photos the alligator had taken from his mouth showing the world what it is like being swallowed by an alligator and the last thing the victim sees! Kool, no?

I am so jealous! That would be awesome bragging rights. Much better that Ahab’s leg.
One advantage to living above the "Fall Line" in Georgia (where the Piedmont meets the Coastal Plain) is mostly being outside the range of those dangerous critters. The worst we have to deal with in metro Atlanta is copperheads (not nearly as dangerous as rattlesnakes or water moccasins, those very common in south Georgia). Of course there are the other "critters", two-legged ones, who wreck a lot of havoc up here when it comes to crime, but that is another story!
