FR. ANTONIO SPADARO IS A CARICATURE OF SOMETHING I'D RATHER NOT PRINT AND IS THE PROBLEM NOT THE SOLUTION AND WOULD BE WELL ADVISED TO EXIT THE WORLD'S PAPAL STAGE

LifeSiteNews can be a bit rightwing and over the top, but also breaks valuable news like the Vigano testimony. The portion of an article below I think says it all about the humility of this papacy. It is quite self serving and very sad for the papacy and the Church!

VATICAN CITY, September 6, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) — A blurb on a new book by Pope Francis and close advisor Fr. Antonio Spadaro takes a swipe at Pope Benedict in describing the current pope as a reformer who is “engaged with the poor, the starving and the marginalized.”
“Unlike his predecessor, [Pope Francis] does not sit down in a room in the Vatican and write learned books,” writes the unknown author of the description of Open to God, Open to the World, published by Bloomsbury Continuum in a print edition September 25.
Pope Francis “is in constant dialogue with the outside world and with the universal Catholic Church,” it declares. “He likes being asked questions and finds it easy to respond.”
Given the pope’s silence on allegations he covered up the serial sexual abuse of ex-Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, and famous refusal to answer the dubia, that last line veers unintentionally close to parody.
Consisting of 16 interviews between Spadaro and Pope Francis from 2013 and 2017, in which the two men “engage in valuable dialogue,” the book “reveals a leader’s vision for progress,” the blurb continues.

Those with "eyes to see, and ears to hear" already recognize that we are seeing precursors to what one might call the "Rainbow synod." It'll affirm and embrace everything the world is pushing concerning gender and sexuality. The world will rejoice when this so called "catholic" church is finally enlightened. Of course, it will no longer have any meaning.

Father McDonald,

I don't speak Italian, so I am curious how the name "Spadaro" translates into English. This could be interesting

ABC News. Pope on McCarrick claims: "I won't say a word about it."

After trying so hard for so long to make allowances for this papacy, the camel's straw was how the pope is "grooming" the college of cardinals on purely ideological Modernist principles by selecting those who are more amenable to modern views of sexual morality, including homosexuality. Indeed, passing over candidates prepared for him by advisors, he chose Kevin Farrell, apparently a roommate of McCarrick for some time, and Joseph Tobin, who supports women serving as deacons so that they could preach at Mass, rather than Gomez and Chaput, both orthodox men who would represent minorities in USA, Hispanics and natives, yes those poor natives the pope has so much sympathy with, but sure did not act like it in this case. And then, of course, the silence on the dubia and on the Vigano letter:

"...the Modernists vent all their gall and hatred on Catholics who sturdily fight the battles of the Church. But of all the insults they heap on them those of ignorance and obstinacy are the favourites. When an adversary rises up against them with an erudition and force that render him redoubtable, they try to make a conspiracy of silence around him to nullify the effects of his attack..."
St. Pius X, Pascendi

Some of you may find Cardinal Sarah's Twitter page interesting. He has remained silent on this recent crisis, but tht has not prevented him from posting what others have to say that is relevant to it:

"and Joseph Tobin, who supports women serving as deacons...."

I think this blog had a piece earlier this year about a deaconess being ordained in the Eastern Orthodox Church, I think in Egypt, more specifically, Alexandria. I have read a lot about Orthodoxy (as in the Eastern Orthodox Church---Greek, Antiochian, Russian, whatever...), and while that Church does not ordain women priests (and is pretty solidly against it), some readings have pointed out there were deaconnesees in the ancient church (probably more in the eastern areas). No, they did not seem to have the same role as male deacons (sounded like it was more preparing female candidates for baptism). but in any event, is the Eastern Orthodox Church "liberal" because some portions of it ordain deaconesses?

Anon at 205, no, no they're not. In the west, deaconesses were less and less, the role of abbess kind of took that place. (In some orders the abbess receives a stole and crosier still). In the east, this was less the case There are no problems with deaconesses as the church in Alexandria uses them, intervening in local church affairs makes things messy. (Canon ii from nnicea)

Father why do you always attack such as OnePeterFive and LifeSiteNews? Why lies do they tell?

Satan is the Father of all lies and he’s pretty busy within his anti-church spreading lies and confusion. But his end is near and he knows, but the fools in red caps think the game continues.

Our Lady will crush all their skullls.
