Father Lewis King, who was ordained this past Saturday, celebrated his first Sunday Mass at my former parish in Augusta, from 1991 to 2004, the Church of the Most Holy Trinity. Buck Melton took the third photo, a former parishioner of mine from St. Joseph in Macon, where I received Fr. King into the Church in 2010. Buck took a slew of photos of me celebrating Mass at St. Joseph, many of which can be found on many internet websites.

Even sepia tint......
Your point about the sepia tint?
"Sepia toning is a chemical process used in photography which changes the appearance of black-and-white prints to brown. The color is now often associated with antique photographs."
Father K Orwell seldom has a legitimate point. He spends his time here goading Father McDonald and other faithful Catholics instead of winning converts and vocations. However he works hard to advance the interests of the Party of Moloch!
TJM,
It is 10pm not around 9am like a lot of US o A now...
here in a place near Kangaroo Valley, not too far from the important naval base of Jervis Bay, south of Sydney, close to Nowra, Kiama etc...
Anyway my 17 year old stepson is back from a local pub with a group of young men from .......and on arrival here they started a late BBQ then played usual Jimmy Barnes and ACDC ....I was about to say:
Turn it down! Noise travels around here...and you'll wake up half of people around here who start might start work early tomorrow! Then a young bloke put on...actually turned up, blasted out maximum:
The Band
The Last Waltz
(1978)
The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down
TJM,
For me to allow this to continue for almost 4 minutes, before pulling the plug ....how many Hail Mary's for penance would I get for a degree of complicity in a clear moral evil racist moral theology level cooperation in hate speech etc from a modern cleric in your parts. ?! Hmmmm?
Relatively sane but not too sober young minds would like to know?
11.15pm here .....for those still standing here...- the following song is being played and could be regarded as the soundtrack to certain places round here - South Coast NSW Oz.. - and a certain situation men can get in, in many places in our declining and falling West ...
Google the Band "Weddings, Parties, Anything" - and their classic song
"Father's Day"..
@Paul, excellent tune and lyrics, thanks for the recommendation. Such honesty is an important step on our path to redemption. I live in two worlds, musically. Although I love the Byrd settings of Mass and think opera is one of the great accomplishments of Western civilization, my soul is stirred by the simple verse of common people captured in uncommon ways. It is called Americana in the catalogues, but I think after hearing this tune, that’s too restrictive. The crap people want to sing in a NO Mass would be, often, perfectly fine in the parish hall afterwards with strong coffee, fresh juice, and buttered toast surrounded by our spiritual family. These cri d’cour dignify us as they also humble us.
Pardon me, I’ve had a pint.
