AT 86 WITH NUMEROUS HEALTH ISSUES DUE TO THE STEAMROLLER OF TIME AND A SELF CONFESSED POST OPERATION DIFFICULTY WITH BREATHING, SHOULD WE READ BETWEEN THE LINES?

I think so, from the perspective of common sense:

Pope's audiences temporarily suspended in July for summer break

We pray for the Pope daily and hope he leads effectively. We should be on alert for the preparations to select the next Pope and how the changes will be accelerated. I predict we will have our first openly gay pope.

Yikes, the Anglican communion we shall become…which means we will be placed on life support, a smaller , unfaithful church!

Cardinal Muller should excommunicate the Pope! Although not canonical it would be fun to see Pope Mercy on the hot seat

The population of men from which the pope will be chosen is stacked in favor of that outcome. It will be someone who will execute the Synodal documents.

In regard to the suspension of Pope Francis' July General Audiences:

I believe that that has served as Pope Francis' usual practice.

Pax.

RCG, Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI had from 1978 to 2013 to “stack the deck” with orthodox cardinals and bishops, yet their cardinals elected a very progressive pope, Jorge Bergoglio. Did they know he would side with the culture in terms of the secular culture wars or at least would be very sympathetic to the homosexual clique in the Church pushing for a complete overhaul of the Church’s anthropology of human sexuality as it concerns the moral teaching on sexuality and the traditional anthropology that guides who can be married and not married; priest or not a priest.

I am hopeful that the Holy Spirit will intervene somewhere along the line, but we may well be in a period of repeating history where even popes are opposed by their bishops and ugliness ensues.

Father McDonald,

This upsetting news may hasten Santita's demise! The Roche may commit suicide: This news from France:

"However, the general disaffection with Catholicism, the desertion of churches and the wave of seminary closures in France, is accompanied at the same time by a strong attachment to traditionalist movements, especially among young people, as evidenced by another recent study that lends additional credence to the hypotheses of a gradual refocusing and tightening of religious practice.

In May, for the first time in 40 years, the organizers of the annual Christendom Pilgrimage of Chartres — which brings together Catholics attached to the Traditional Latin Mass — had to close registration some ten days before the event, due to their 16,000-person ceiling being exceeded."

Yes, the TLM is the problem, not the Novus Ordo! LOL

Fr. McDonald, I am not a conspiracy theorist, but I believe that Popes JP II and Benedict nominated men naively believing they would follow Church doctrine and teachings. Somehow a significant number of homosexuals were made cardinal, I think it is likely a majority. The rest are compromised or of such a minority that they are ineffectual to protect orthodoxy. I think that a group, perhaps like the supposed St Gallen Mafia, did and continue to conspire to reform the Church to meet their carnal goals. I am anxious that the Holy Ghost will intervene to save us. I hope it is not offensive to God that I also prepare for the worst.

rcg,

There are a lot of perverts in the hierarchy, eg, McCarrick. Unfortunately our evil, corrupt, insane media love them, including two loons who post here pretending to be Catholic. To an astute outsider, they are two sides of the same coin!

TJM, check the story that goes with Bishop Stika. It was bizarre at every turn but he get popped for financial problems. Now he’s off to retirement with another bishop ‘friend’ and maybe the seminarian that precipitated this mess. Of course the ‘organist’ is left behind suing the Diocese. The organist accused the erstwhile seminarian of RAPE for goodness sake. So Bishop Stika took them out to dinner to see if they could reconcile their differences. Or maybe get the charges reduced to assault with a friendly weapon. I guess rape is not so serious that a nice dinner would smooth things over.

Sophia here: Hi Paul. Several posts ago you mentioned that your wife was very ill, in the hospital with a brain injury (?). I and undoubtedly many, many who read this blog started praying for her, you and your family and have continued to do so. How is your wife doing? How are you and your family coping with this challenge of having your loved one so seriously ill?
I hope you are finding comfort in your Faith, each other and knowing that so many of us are also imploring Heaven on her and your behalf.

Sophia,

Thank you for your kind words.

M has had a form of EPISODIC treatment resistant depression for 19 years, ie since the birth of her second child, in 2004.
Before we even met, in 2011, .....ny 2011, Melanie had experienced a number of accidental and very deliberate overdoses; and twice - 8 day stays in intensive care wards.

M's first marriage was annulled.

Amazing how intelligent she is though. With honours degrees in art history, visual studies: and a minor in Film Studies..easy too a plus 130 IQ....clinicians claim.

There are reasons for Melanie's emotional pain that existed well before either her marriage to me to and even before her marriage to Adam...aged 20.

Thx for your prayers.

There is definitely a degree of brain damage. How much will take at least a little time to determine..but it is not minor.

I suppose, as most times in her life, Tiffany aged 16 now, is taking this the hardest and suffering the most..

rcg,

On another thread talking about Bishops Stika and Strickland, I contrasted the two men mentioning Stika’s bizarre modus operandi. You may have missed that

Sophia Here: Thanks so much for responding Paul- it must be so difficult to share all this in an open space. But I know people who read this blog will double down on prayers for all of you-so much suffering! Prayers for healing will continue.

Prayers for you, your wife and family.

Through the intercession of the the most holy Theotokos, as well as the communion of saints, may you all be given the strength and courage to face these and other difficulties that may arise. May your faith sustain you and give comfort and peace to those who surround you.
