The Catholic Church, here comes everybody.
But, but, legend has it that when Pope Francis was being vested in his white cassock prior to going out to the loggia to greet those in Saint Peter’s Square, he refused the Mozzetta that now Bishop Guido Marini was handing him. The pope told him, no, the circus is over, so the legend goes.
But that was a mistake. The pope told him the circus has begun, the big tent circus which leads to the Church about noting as everything is allowed.
No one knows what the synod on synod is, except it listens to everyone. Most people listen to many people and a good Church, meaning faithful laity and clergy, bishops and religious, know how to discern what is garbage and what isn’t. The key to this is Jesus Christ, the Deposit of Faith and the perennial magisterium of the Church to assist people in embracing God’s will for them and conversion from the works of sin, death and hell.
A big tent Church that isn’t about saving souls, here and now and in the hereafter is a Church about nothing. Sadly, unlike Seinfeld and his show about nothing, the Church about nothing isn’t funny.

The synod(s) on synodality do not listen to everyone; they listen to about 1% of Catholics -mostly those "formed" in the 70s. The do listen to anyone (except traditional, faithful Catholics). The end result was planned before all the theatrics were put in motion.
"Ringling Brothers of Rome"
I have stopped listening to the nonsense coming from this "synod". I don't believe a word of it. The outcome was pre-ordained and HFPF is going to get what he wants and will manufacture the outcome to suit his misguided will. Good bye Rome. You've lost me and so many others. I'll focus locally on my parish and pastor and ride this out. As with November 8th, this regime too, will pass on to the dust bin of history.
Synod: Faithful Catholics Need Not Apply
Just like the term "woke" reflects the defiant stance of willful ignorance that marks our epoch, so too does this complete bullsh_t clown show our purported pope is foisting upon us. Sadly, those of us even paying attention to this charade are few. The larger body of Catholics doesn't even seem to care, reflecting an indifference created by decades of going from beautiful, consistent worship and discipline to the slippery slope of relaxation.
You're definitely not "woke" Father. You're what more of us need to be: awake.
Jerome Merwick,
The book I mentioned to you about The Once and Future Mass makes a pretty compelling argument that the creation of the Novus Ordo was a sin against the Holy Spirit - if you accept Catholic theology and tradition. At first I was taken aback by that assertion but the more you read the argument is convincing. Hyperpapalism allowed this disaster to move forward and we are still living with its rotten fruits. Of course the Synod Clown Show will ignore the elephant in the room but as Father Fox has stated many times no one likes the Novus Ordo and he’s right
At least in regard to the Church in the United States:
The majority of bishops, via their listening sessions reports, have pronounced the Synodal process a holy success. The bishops have praised Pope Francis for his having instituted the Synod/Synodal process.
The USCCB issued a few weeks ago the National Synthesis report in regard to the listening sessions. The report noted that the listening sessions recorded a diversity of opinions offered by the participants.
That has been the way of the Church from Her beginning to date.
Nevertheless, the USCCB noted that the participants exhibited great love for Jesus Christ, the Church, and Eucharist.
The USCCB's National Synthesis Report stated that "spiritual conversations and fraternal dialogues have renewed a sense of common love and responsibility for the good of our Church — in our parishes, in our dioceses, and in our country."
"Throughout all the synodal consultations, the People of God have continually shared their expressions of joy and gratitude for the invitation to journey together on the synodal path."
====================================================================================
For those who have complained about the listening sessions, but refused to have participated in the process...well, said folks had their opportunities...they even had the chance to have expressed their views in written form.
One diocese after another reported that the participants love God...believe overwhelmingly in the Real Presence...and are attached to the Holy Mass.
They may have weaknesses (I have far too many). But they love God, the Church, and their brothers and sisters in the Faith.
They are God's Children.
The Synod/Synodal Process has been entrusted to the Holy Ghost. The Holy Father will issue the final teaching document in regard to the Synod.
Therefore, the final document in question will be orthodox.

Is there some way, ANY way, to inform a person that he is naive, gullible and monotonous without it being an insult?
Seriously, this lapdog-sycophant-kissup stuff is like a broken record.
The shouts against the Synod are akin to the shouts that were heard against Vatican II.
"Heresy! Heresy! Heretics everywhere! Stop the Council! Stop the Council!"
The Council produced holy, orthodox documents.
As Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI declared recently, Vatican II was meaningful, and necessary.
=================================================================================
The shouts against the Synod are akin to the shouts that were heard against the Amazon Synod.
"Heresy! Heresy! Heretics everywhere! Bergoglio has rigged the Synod. The Synod has been determined. Bergoglio will use the rigged Synod to end priestly celibacy. That is guaranteed. Also, women will be ordained as priests...guaranteed."
Yeah, Right. How did those claims pan out?
=========================================================================================
The shouts against the Synod are akin to the shouts that were heard against the Synod on the Family."
"Heresy! Heresy! Heretics everywhere! Bergoglio has rigged the Synod on the Family."
In turn, Pope Francis generated a holy, orthodox Apostolic Exhortation that was praised by Cardinals Müller, Burke, Sarah, DiNardo...Cardinal, after Cardinal.
Archbishop Cordelione: Pope Francis' "reflection on the spirituality of marriage and family life reinforced the teaching of the Church and the insights of his predecessors."
The current Synod/Synodal Process has begun, and will end in line with the above examples:
The Synod's critics, many of whom despise Pope Francis, will shout:
"Heresy! Heresy! Heretics everywhere! Bergoglio has rigged the Synod."
The Synod will conclude, of course, with the Pope, thanks to the promise of Jesus Christ, having issued a holy, orthodox document.

Mark Thomas aka Baghdad Bob,
Thanks for the laughs. You've convinced no one
I don't recall reading one remark from anyone claiming that "Bergoglio rigged the synod." And if you can't recognize heresy when we start creating commissions to canonize non-Catholics as saints, I can't help you.
If the majority of our bishops were faithful and virtuous men, we would never have had the 2002 revelations of widespread sexual abuse among priests. If the majority of our bishops were faithful and virtuous men, we would have a far different Church than the one we are currently staying in while we hold our noses. If the majority of our bishops were faithful and virtuous men, there would not be bishops conferences looking to "bless" sodomy like a marriage.
And finally, if the majority of our bishops were faithful and virtuous, we could believe them when their lockstep (and unnecessary) bishops conferences made announcements about how "successful" their "synodal" processes are going.
The Church is Holy, because Christ is Holy. The people running the Church--no so much. Mark, you're spreading a wonderful idea around as if there is an abundance of it. The reality is, we're in a famine for holiness.
Thomas Garrett said..."I don't recall reading one remark from anyone claiming that "Bergoglio rigged the synod."
Really? I have. Not just here, but on various blogs. Anti-Pope Francis folks have claimed that "Bergoglio" has ensured that the current Synod/Synodal Process is "rigged," "pre-determined."
Anyway, discredited, embarrassing claims that "Bergoglio" had "rigged" the Synod on the Family....the Amazon Synod...that "Bergoglio" would use said Synods to destroy the family, bless homosexual "marriage," end priestly celibacy, and ordain women to the priesthood, abounded.
Now, we encounter — well, you have not, but I have — that "Bergoglio" has "rigged" (pre-determined) the current Synod/Synodal Process.
Same old claims from the anti-Bergoglio camp.
Anyway, the bottom line is that Pope Francis (or another Pope) will concluded the Synod with an orthodox teaching document.
As guaranteed by Jesus Christ, the Catholic Religion has remained immaculate in the Apostolic See.
Always has, always will.

Really? Okay.
The second comment in this thread is from Tom Makin: October 28, 2022 at 7:46 AM
Mister Mankin declared:
"I have stopped listening to the nonsense coming from this "synod". I don't believe a word of it.
"The outcome was pre-ordained and HFPF is going to get what he wants and will manufacture the outcome to suit his misguided will."
Mister Garrett, right here on this thread, second comment listed, is the claim that Pope Francis has rigged the Synod.
The Holy Father has "pre-ordained" the Synod...Pope Francis will "get what he wants and will manufacture the outcome to suit his misguided will."
Mister Garrett, there you go.

I just saw MT's remarks and I want to be specific that I was referring to this conversation and that no one--at least that I had read--had used the word "rigged". But I suppose that word is as fitting as "pre-ordained" or any of the other phrases we could use to suggest that the decision has been made before the process even gets started. Just denying it doesn't change it. Just quoting bishops who have a vested interest in keeping their jobs and pleasing the boss doesn't make it so. Giving us assurances that we can trust groups of high-level middle-managers who have a demonstrable history of lying to us doesn't change it. And labeling the train-wreck of events and highly-questionable actins of the current "pontiff" as "holy" only demonstrates a willful closing of one's eyes.
When I look at a pile of feces on the ground, I don't call it gold. We are called to be faithful to the Church. None of us are called to be yes-men and enablers to heretics, schismatics and chronic liars.
Thomas Garretts,
You left out perverts
I was trying to be polite.
I was trying to be polite to Mark Thomas when I asked the question, "Is there some way, ANY way, to inform a person that he is naive, gullible and monotonous without it being an insult?"
Well, I give up.
Mr. Thomas, take this as a fraternal correction.
I commend you for your obvious desire to be faithful to the pope. We are all called to love and support our popes. However, we have plenty of saints who have also told us that we have an obligation to stand up against lies, apostasy and heresy, even if it comes from a pope.
I can't help but picture a naked emperor marching in his parade and you on the sidewalk raving about how beautiful his clothes are.
Mark, your slobbering repetition of meaningless "holies" and praise of Francis make you look incredibly foolish and nobody wants to rub your nose in it. But there it is.
Are you going to venerate Pachamama when those statues are installed in your parish? Are you going to be OK when your parish priestess (or deaconess at least) "blesses" a couple of disordered, homosexual men or women? Are you going to praise Martin Luther as "holy" when some future "pope" declares him a saint?
Open your eyes, son. Open your eyes. Being a faithful Catholic means we worship Jesus and what HE taught, not worshipping a pope.
Mister Garrett, I used the word "rigged." I also used the phrase "The Synod has been determined."
That is the word, "determined...or pre-determined," that certain folks have claimed in regard to the Synod...that Pope Francis has "determined" the outcome of the Synod.
But you know...I guess that we can say that the Synod is "determined." The Synod is "determined" in the following fashion: The Pope will issue a teaching document following the Synod's completion. Therefore, as he is under Divine protection, the Pope's teaching document will be orthodox.
Pope Venerable Pius XII, Encyclical MYSTICI CORPORIS CHRISTI:
"Christ enlightens His whole Church...it is He who enriches pastors and teachers ******* and above all His Vicar on earth ******* with the supernatural gifts of knowledge, understanding and wisdom, so that they may loyally preserve the treasury of faith, defend it vigorously, and explain it and confirm it with reverence and devotion."
