THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING FOR THE PAST 9 YEARS, ALTHOUGH THIS ARTICLE SAYS IT A LOT BETTER AND WITH A CARDINAL WHO WAS THOGHT TO BE BENEDICT’S SUCCESSOR

Commentary from the National Catholic Register:

Vatican II at 60: ‘Backwardist’ to the Future?

The pontificate of Pope Francis seems to feel most comfortable in the immediate post-conciliar period, yet those who desire to drag the Church back to 1972 must contend with the colossal interpretative legacy of John Paul II and Benedict XVI.

Actually, they do not have to contend with the previous two popes. The South American dictator can do whatever he wants because no bishop (or group of bishops) has the will/means to stand up to him. The fraternal correction has been tried and found wanting; all that is left is the bleating of the sheep as they get fleeced. Unless the Holy Spirit decides to take him to his eternal reward before he can finish his synodal destruction.
