Vatican II and the synod: Openness to Spirit brings harmony, official says
The process for the Synod of Bishops, like the sessions of the Second Vatican Council, is marked
by theological, cultural and practical differences, she said, but she is confident that
by listening to the Holy Spirit, listening to each other and being patient, consensus
will prevail as it did at Vatican II.
Becquart spoke to Catholic News Service Oct. 14, just before she and the synod’s top
leadership had a private meeting with Pope Francis.
The meeting came three days after the pope celebrated a Mass marking the 60th anniversary
of the opening of the council and pleaded with Catholics to resist the temptations of division,
“quarrels, gossip and disputes.”
My question concerns Sister’s following statement, often said by others who are in cahoots with her:
Is this neo-Gnosticism, some direct line from God to the synod revealing a new doctrine not known
To other Catholics simply by reviewing the Deposit of Faith?:
“We need a respectful, mutual listening, free of ideology and predetermined agendas.
The aim is not to reach agreement by means of a contest between opposing positions
, but to journey together to seek God’s will, allowing differences to harmonize.
Most important of all is the synodal spirit: to meet each other with respect and trust,
to believe in our shared unity and to receive the new thing that the Spirit wishes
to reveal to us.”

I have just read Sister Bequart's interview in question. I did not find anything peculiar in regard to her comments.
The Synod is guided by Pope Francis, who is under Divine protection,. His Holiness, should God grant Pope Francis the time, will have the final word in regard to Synod.
The bottom line is that the Synod's final document, issued by the Vicar of Christ, will be holy/orthodox.

These people are so adept at drivel and circumlocution. It wouldn't surprise me if Sister is a Reiki practitioner and an expert on centering prayer. Heaven knows what else she'll bring to the table of plenty.

First, it may not surprise you to know that I had not heard of Reiki before (although I was familiar with something called “healing touch,” which sounds very similar or even the same). You have now helped to teach me (more) about it:

Second, I was already quite familiar with Centering Prayer, which I attempted during the many retreats I made to Holy Spirit Monastery in Conyers, Georgia during the 1980s:

However, I found it a very difficult form of prayer because of a constant tinnitus I have experienced for as long as I can remember (a loud high-pitched screech/hiss that I believed, until my early30s, was “the sound of silence” everyone experienced) and essentially gave up on it. Your comment refocused me on this form of prayer and caused me to do an internet search under “centering prayer for those with tinnitus.” I was very pleased to find the problem addressed in the following:

As a result, I will try this prayer form again. So, thank you for that. This, of course, is the reason that may surprise you.
